SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2026 – INTERNAL HACKATHON
SND College of Engineering & Research Centre, Yeola successfully conducted its Internal Hackathon, bringing together 264 student participants and shortlisting 132 students for the semi-final round. Students showcased innovative ideas, prototypes, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Expert Lecture on Environmental Sustainability in the 21st Century

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, S. N. D. College of Engineering & Research Center, Yeola, successfully organized an Expert Lecture on 22 September 2026 on "Environmental Sustainability in the 21st Century: Global Challenges and Opportunities."

The session was delivered by Dr. Dilawar Husain, Associate Professor, Maulana Mukhtar Ahmad Nadvi Technical Campus, Mansoora, Malegaon. The lecture provided valuable insights into climate change, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), renewable energy, and resource conservation.

The **ISHRAE Student Chapter (Nashik Chapter)** was officially inaugurated on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall of S. N. D. College of Engineering & Research Center, Yeola. Organized under the theme *"Together for a Greener Tomorrow,"* the installation ceremony was led by key academic figures including Dr. Dipak P. Patil (Principal), Dr. Harjit U. Pawar (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department), and Mr. B. C. Londhe (Faculty Advisor). The newly established chapter aims to provide engineering students with hands-on exposure to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), clean air technologies, and energy efficiency, empowering them to learn, lead, and innovate around the core principles of people, process, planet, and progress.
