Damghan University originally was founded in 1988 and started its educational operation in 1992. The university wa
s founded by dedicated citizens of Damghan under the leadership of Late Dr Mohammad Masud Mansouri, a lover of Damghan, well oriented with western education. The third president of the University was Dr Abdolrahim Navehebrahim, an educated of the State University of New York at Buffalo. Present president, Dr Ali Haghighi Asl, has created an environment of academic growth. A strong interaction between the university and the people of Damghan has been established under the present leadership that contributing to development of student body, state of art chemistry, physic and language laboratories.
