The Crossroads of Empires Project (Second Season): Sant’Ambrogio Open Evening
Saturday 21st July

The research team of the Crossroads of Empires Project and the council of Montecorvino Rovella, cordially invites you to participate in a guided tour of the excavation site of the church of Sant’Ambrogio, Occiano, Montecorvino Rovella. This will be followed by a reception at 20.00, kindly hosted by Fabbrocino Srl. e Gelpas. This event marks the second phase of the ‘Crossroads of Empires Project’ which is a collaborative venture between the Università di Salerno and the University of Birmingham (UK). Following the precedent established by the previous council, the new council administration of Montecorvino Rovella, has reaffirmed its support for this project and its recognition of its importance. For two weeks, Sant’Amborgio will host a team of Italian and English academics and students who will oversee the excavation of the church authorised by MiBACT.

Sabato 21 giugno 2018, alle ore 18.30, i ricercatori del progetto Crocevia dell’Impero e l’Amministrazione comunale di Montecorvino Rovella, vi invitano a partecipare a
una visita guidata del cantiere archeologico presso la chiesa di Sant’Ambrogio, Occiano, Montecorvino Rovella. Seguirà momento di rinfresco alle ore 20:00 offerto da Fabbrocino Srl. e Gelpas. Quella di quest’anno è la seconda fase del progetto di ricerca Crocevia dell’Impero /Crossroads of Empires promosso in collaborazione tra l’Università di Salerno e University of Birmingham (UK). La nuova Amministrazione comunale di
Montecorvino Rovella, in continuità con la precedente, riconosciuto il valore e l’impatto della prima fase del progetto condotto nel 2017, ha rinnovato il supporto a questa importante iniziativa che per due settimane vedrà studiosi e studenti, inglesi e italiani, coinvolti in una campagna archeologica autorizzata dal MiBACT sulla chiesa di Sant’Ambrogio.
