The International Conference organized by the Conservatory of Music “L. D’Annunzio” Pescara will take place at the Auditorium of the Conservatory Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, 2015 and will be entitled “Training in Music Therapy in Europe in the institutions of Academic Higher Education: Universities and Conservatories of Music”. The choice of this theme mainly stems from the s
trategic role that the Conservatory of Pescara has played in recent years in Italy in the area of training in Music Therapy. The Bachelor degree program at the Conservatory of Pescara, is currently the only one in Italy, and has about 60 students, some with very successful international placements through Erasmus. All learners do placements at national rehabilitation centers and hospitals affiliated committed for more than two years in rehabilitation projects, with children and adults affected by any kind of disability. Other programs, in other Italian Conservatories of music are two-year courses. There are no university degree programs in Music Therapy. Consequently, with good reason the Conservatory of Pescara is a prime candidate to play a proactive, interlocutory referential and privileged role, backed by governmental structures that will take care of the professional standards of Music Therapy in Italy. Although standardization will take a long time, we will fight to ensure that adequate standardization is provided, in line with the parameters of training in Music Therapy in European Higher Education Institutions. In order to respond fully to this objective Conservatory today we wish to promote a comparison between all the European academic realities, or at least among those who accept the invitation to come to Pescara (and the last day in Rome) to submit their training paths in Music Therapy. Il Convegno Internazionale organizzato dal Conservatorio di musica “L. D’Annunzio” di Pescara si terrà presso l’Auditorium del Conservatorio venerdì 24, sabato 25 e domenica 26 Aprile 2015 e avrà come titolo “La formazione in Musicoterapia in Europa nelle istituzioni di Alta Formazione Accademica : Università e Conservatori di Musica”. La scelta di questo tema nasce sopratutto dal ruolo strategico che il Conservatorio di Pescara ha assunto in questi ultimi anni in Italia nell’area della formazione in Musicoterapia. Il programma di laurea triennale attivo presso il Conservatorio di Pescara, è attualmente l’unico esistente nel Paese. Vanta una popolazione di circa 60 studenti, alcuni dei quali svolgono con molto successo placements internazionali grazie ai programmi Erasmus. Tutti gli studenti svolgono Internship nazionali –presso centri di riabilitazione ed ospedali convenzionati- impegnandosi per più di 2 anni in progetti riabilitativi con bambini e adulti affetti da ogni tipo di disabilità. Altri percorsi presenti in altri Conservatori di musica italiani sono nati come corsi di specializzazione biennali. E non vi sono tutt’ora corsi di laurea in Musicoterapia nelle Università. Per conseguenza, a buon diritto il Conservatorio di Pescara si candida a svolgere un ruolo interlocutorio propositivo e referente, con le strutture governative che si occuperanno della normazione professionale della Musicoterapia in Italia. Proprio perché si tratterà di una normazione attesa molto a lungo, ci batteremo con ogni mezzo affinché si riveli una normazione adeguata, in sintonia con i percorsi di studio in musicoterapia nell’Alta Formazione Accademica Europea. Al fine di rispondere compiutamente a questo obiettivo il Conservatorio desidera oggi farsi promotore di un confronto tra tutte le realtà accademiche interessate, o almeno tra quelle che accetteranno l’invito di recarsi a Pescara (e l’ultimo giorno a Roma) per presentare i propri percorsi di formazione in Musicoterapia.
