Here’s a look at how creativity is blooming in April, a month truly packed with so many projects to share from our Master’s programs. ✨
From props design in Concept Art to rendering and animation in CGI, up to interface design and automotive HMI in UX, our students have been exploring a wide range of creative challenges.
They’ve been constantly refining their skills and bringing an incredible number of ideas to life across disciplines.

is one of the instructors of the Master in Sound Design, an audio engineer and sound designer with a strong passion for his craft. In every project he creates, he brings dedication and attention to detail, aiming to give sound a meaningful role.

For him, audio is not just a technical element, but a powerful tool to convey emotions and enhance what we see. His work focuses on creating sound that truly resonates with the audience and reflects the visual experience.

Our Computer Graphics students worked across multiple modules to bring a full chess set to life, each focusing on a single piece from modeling to rigging and texturing.

The goal? Not just individual assets, but a cohesive and visually consistent set where every piece works together.

Creare visual con l’AI non significa semplicemente generare immagini.

Significa progettare.

Quando lavori con un metodo e parti dall’obiettivo finale, smetti di “provare prompt” e inizi a costruire immagini con un’intenzione precisa. È lì che nasce il valore: quando il risultato non è solo il prodotto dell’intelligenza artificiale, ma il risultato delle tue scelte.

Nel corso di AI Visual Design lavoriamo proprio su questo.

Non ci interessa solo insegnare strumenti, ma capire come diversi punti di vista influenzano ogni decisione visiva.

Perché più ampli il tuo modo di leggere le immagini, più controllo hai su quello che crei.
E più controllo hai, più il risultato diventa tuo.

La curiosità è sempre stata il vero motore del processo creativo.
Oggi, con l’AI, lo è ancora di più.

L’intelligenza artificiale è uno strumento progettuale, al pari di qualsiasi altro tool: il valore non è nella tecnologia, ma nel modo in cui viene integrata nel processo.

Adottare un approccio efficace significa testare, iterare, validare.
Esplorare più direzioni, mettere in discussione gli output, costruire progressivamente un risultato.

È questa capacità di utilizzo consapevole che trasforma l’AI in un reale vantaggio progettuale.
Ed è esattamente questo approccio che viene sviluppato all’interno del corso di AI Visual Design.

Un corso costruito da , e .maria.bucea che hanno unito competenze ed esperienze diverse per dare vita a un percorso di upskilling, che va oltre il classico corso di ‘prompting’.

When creativity meets collaboration, great things happen 🚀

During the BigRock Jam, students were divided into teams and worked on a project inspired by Dixit. Each group was assigned a theme and created an original card, designed to later come to life through animation.

It was an intense and hands-on experience, full of ideas, teamwork, and problem-solving, where every student had the chance to contribute and push their skills further.

The winning teams were awarded for their dedication, creativity, and strong team spirit 🎉

BigRock is happy to share “The Coffin”, a short film by .pet inspired by the iconic opening sequence of the American version of “The Office”.

The characters draw from “Corpse Bride” by Tim Burton, a major visual reference for the project. The short was developed in about a week using local AI tools through ComfyUI: FireRed Image Edit and FLUX.2 Klein for the images, LTX-2.3 for the animation, with editing and compositing in Photoshop and Premiere.

Rather than relying on a single prompt, the workflow followed a scene-by-scene approach, including character placement, environment and prop creation, color grading, and final post-production. The project stands as a tribute to Tim Burton’s style and as an exploration of the creative potential of ComfyUI.

This week, Concept Art students built a 3D environment to use as the foundation for their final painting. Starting from composition and blockout, they defined shapes, scale, and perspective before refining the scene with secondary elements, camera setups, and lighting to establish the mood.

The final renders were then used for paintovers, where students added color, atmosphere, and details, transforming the 3D blockout into polished concept art.
