- 𝗦𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲!
❗ Il team Flexos del gruppo Human-Robot Interaction della Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna è alle Finali della competizione RoboPitch 2022.
💡 RoboPitch si rivolge a team di ricercatori e start-up con un'idea progettuale nella fase early-stage o di proof-of-concept. I team selezionati saranno presentati alle finali durante l'evento RobotHeart che si svolgerà il prossimo 14 Ottobre presso Fieramilano (Rho).
🤖 Flexos è un esoscheletro leggero per spalla ideato per il supporto di operatori industriali e logistici al fine di prevenirne l'affaticamento da sollevamento continuo di carichi leggeri.
In bocca al lupo ai nostri ragazzi!!

🫂 - 𝕄𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕞𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕠 𝕊𝕠𝕝𝕒𝕫𝕫𝕚
👨🏻‍🎓 Massimiliano is Associate Professor in Applied Mechanics and Robotics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna where he teaches classes in Finite Element Simulations, Computer Aided Design and Mechanics of Transducers.
🤖 His research interests concern the design of robotic interfaces for virtual reality, teleoperation and rehabilitation, the design and control of exoskeletons, mobile robotics, advanced fault diagnosis and dynamics.
🇪🇺 Massimiliano has collaborated in numerous research projects both nationally and internationally (Centauro, Beaming, VERE, WearHap) and he is author of more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed international conferences and scientific journals.

The first workshop of the Department of Excellence in Robotics and AI of Scuola Sant'Anna has been dedicated to research on Artificial Intelligence and Smart Materials that have been developed within the Scuola in the last two years.
🫂 Our group presented 3 contributions and we congratulate with all the participants and the organizers for this inspiring event.

🫂 ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕘𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤 to Marcello Palagi for receiving the MSc in ⚙Mechanical Engineering⚙ from the University of Pisa.
👨🏼‍🎓 His thesis, entitled "Design and development of a hand exoskeleton" has been developed within the Human-Robot Interaction area of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.
💯 Marcello will soon start his Ph.D. in Emerging Digital Technologies with our group! Welcome on board, Marcello!

📝 Our paper "Design and characterization of modular soft components for an exoskeleton glove with improved wearability" has just been presented at the 24th RoManSy Symposium 2022, held in Udine.
🤖 ROManSy encourages contributions providing a vision of the evolution of the robotics disciplines and signaling new directions of development.

🫂 People - 𝔻𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕖𝕝𝕖 𝕃𝕖𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕣𝕕𝕚𝕤
🎓 Daniele is the Assistant Professor of the HuRIn area. He received the MSc in 🏧 Automatin Engineering 🏧 from the Politecnico of Bari in 2009 and the PhD in Innovative Technologies from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in 2015.
🤖 His research interests dela with haptic feedback and wearable rovotics applied yo trleoperation and rehabilitation, and bio-signlas (BCI and EMG) for controlling robotic devices

🫂 - ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕘𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤 to Eleonora Colella who received the MSc cm laude in ⚕️ BioMedical Engineering ⚕️ from Università Campus BioMedico of Rome.
👩🏻‍🎓 Her thesis, entitled "Design and experimental validation of a wearable device thermo-haptic for the multimodal hand rehabilitation", has been developed at the HuRIn Laboratory within a partnership programme with Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.

🎓 Domenico is the Control Specialist of the HuRIn group. He received the PhD in Perceptual Robotics from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in 2018 and the MSc in 🏧 Automation Engineering 🏧 from Politecnico di Bari.
🤖 His research is concerned with the development of control strategies for industrial robots and exoskeletons with a focus on rehabilitation.

🎓 Massimiliano is the Senior Mechanical Designer of the HuRIn group. He received the PhD in Perceptual Robotics from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in 2018 and the MSc in ⚙ Mechanical Engineering ⚙ from the University of Pisa in 2014.
🤖 His interests are in the field of the human robot interaction with a particular focus on wearable haptics, rehabiliyation robotics, teleoperation, and collaborative robotics.

🎓 Giancarlo is the Structural Dynamics Specialist of the HuRIn group. He received the PhD in Robotics and Vibrations from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in 2020 and the MSc in ⚙ Mechanical Engineering ⚙ from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2014.
🌀 His interests deal with nonlinear dynamics, the structural health monitoring of complex infrastructures, and the modelling of mechatronic systems for robotics applications.
