FAQ ˖ ⋆💫 ⊹ ˖ ˚

1. When is the Interview?
Interviews will be held from 17th-22nd depending on applicant's availability. Applicants will receive emails shortly after applying to confirm the date, time, and place.

2. Are there mandatory staff meetings?
Yes! Besides the weekly club activity, we will also hold staff meetings to work on upcoming activities, Project B, and many more! The time and place will be decided depending on the staff's availability.

3. I don't have any experience in MUN. Can I still apply?
Of course! As staff members, you will be using skills and knowledge that goes outside of just MUN skills. If you believe you have a value outside of MUN that can be useful, we'll be more than happy to accept!

Hello, all delegates, partners, and beloved members,
We are Vibia Indira Putri and Winn Khant Maung Maung, third-semester students majoring in International Relations at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. We are honored to serve as RITMUN’s 2024/2025 Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. We are truly grateful to serve as board members to help bring the club to its next level.

While serving as staff members during last year, RITMUN has given us precious knowledge, experiences, and bonds that motivate us to take steps closer towards all the new experiences and lessons yet to come. Whether it be competitions across Japan or close connections with seniors, RITMUN has been invaluable to our university life! By knowing how all the processes behind the curtains of RITMUN go, we are inspired to give our best to achieve our goal: a platform to grow as global citizens through diplomacy, debate, and cooperation. We believe that anyone, regardless of experience and skills, can grow within a supportive community such as RITMUN.

Get to know our new President through his letter below ✨🧾↷

Dear all,

I am Animesh Regmi and I come from the Land of the Himalayas: Nepal. It is with great pleasure that I invite you all to join this path of diplomacy and leadership as the President and Secretary General of the Ritsumeikan Model United Nations Club (RITMUNC) 2024/25.

After serving as a secretariat and staff member for RITMUNC last year, I realized that RITMUNC is more than just a club. It is an integrated lab for public speaking, diplomacy, and research. We, as a club, have worked enthusiastically to establish a network of individuals eager to develop and thrive in these fields, and under my leadership, we will continue to do so.

Following up on the success of the previous iterations, this year at RITMUNC we aim to grow bigger and reach wider. We have set a goal of conducting a MUN conference at APU that transcends borders. While the ambition of organizing an international conference may seem daunting, my team and I are well-equipped with the persistence and resilience to do so. As we look forward to starting our recruitment process soon, I invite you all to join RITMUNC and work together to make this dream a reality. Whether you’re experienced or a newbie to MUNs, we heartily welcome all those eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of RITMUNC 2024/25.

Apart from the annual conference, my team and I have plans for regular club activities. We will engage in detailed workshops and mock conferences that will equip you all with the essential skills to not only exceed in MUN conferences but also your personal and professional lives ahead. Also, as an ambitious President of the club, I along with my team plan to expand our partners within Japan and abroad to facilitate opportunities for the club members to join other MUN conferences outside of APU enriching their experiences and expanding their horizons. Together at RITMUNC, we will foster an environment in which ideas thrive, voices are heard, and friendships are forged.

Esteemed advisors, distinguished guests, and all members-to-be,
It is with the utmost honor that we introduce ourselves as Dai-Duc Do and Shanon Wangner, third-semester International Relations student at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. Words cannot fully express how grateful we feel to serve as Co-Vice President of the RITMUNC 24/25. We are truly eager to witness and conduct another chapter in our collective journey toward creating an impactful platform where diplomacy, debate, and global cooperation converge!

Having been accompanying RITMUN for a year, we were graced to witness RITMUNC grow. This year, our goal remains unwavering: to elevate the experience we offer to every member. Thus we are committed to be consistent between the club activities, workshops, joint simulations, as well as bonding activities to provide members with a comparable experience, regardless of their experience. As such, we encourage APU students to embark on their MUN journey with high expectations.

Years before his inauguration as Indonesia's Ambassador to Japan in 2013, Dr. Mahendra pursued his Master's degree while researching at the Tsukuba Advanced Research Alliance. Soon after, he received the Doctor of International Political Economy degree at the same university while chairing the Indonesian-Japanese Students Association 🇯🇵🇮🇩
