【オープンキャンパス/Open Campus】
5月18日、本学にて主に受験生を対象にしたオープンキャンパスが開催されました。
受験を志望する学生や本研究室に興味をもっていただいた学生から訪問がありました。
また、一階の掲示ポスター前でも多くの質問をいただきました。
皆さまのより良い前途をお祈りします！

On May 18, an open campus was held at our university mainly for students preparing for entrance exams.
We received visits from students who were interested in taking the entrance exam and from students who were interested in our laboratory.
We also received many questions in front of the posted poster on the first floor.
We wish everyone a better future!

【Special Lecture/特別講演】
On May 21, Professor Hata, Professor Ron Kikinis, and Assistant Professor Zora Kikinis of the Suegical Planning Lab at Harvard Medical School gave a special lecture titled "Intelligent Surgical Robots, Medical Image Analysis, and Brain Imaging Researches at Harvard. The lecture was attended by a large number of students.
A very large number of students attended.
After the lecture, our research was introduced and discussed in the laboratory seminar room. The discussion was meaningful for the students.

5月21日にHarvard Medical School のSuegical Planning Labの波多教授、Ron Kikinis教授、Zora Kikinis助教授に「ハーバード大学における知能手術ロボット、医用画像解析、脳イメージングに関する研究室」と題した特別講演をしていただきました。
非常に多くの学生が参加しました。
また、講演後、研究室セミナールームにて当研究室の研究紹介と議論を行いました。学生にとって有意義な議論となりました。

【新入生歓迎会/New student welcome party】
4月25日に本研究室の新入生5名とインターンシップ学生2人の新入生歓迎会を行いました。
しゃぶしゃぶをつつきながらの歓談はとても盛り上がりました！

On April 25, we held a welcome party for five new students and two internship students.
The party was a great success, and we had a lot of fun chatting over shabu-shabu!

本学ならびに本研究室では留学生の受け入れを積極的に行っています。

インターンシップとして、
2023年4月～8月にかけてフランスからJohan君
2023年9月～24年3月にかけてフランスからFlorenceさん
が来られていました。

また、
2024年4月～8月にかけてドイツからNinaさん
同日～6月にかけてタイからP*e君
が来日されています。

留学生には Tutor として日本人学生が付きます。
生活準備や学校案内、市役所手続きなどを支援し、不安のない生活を送る手助けをします。

(追伸)
留学生たちと共に観光に行く学生もいます。
例えば昨年度M2の坂本くん、M1の垣内くんは留学生たちとUSJや京都、奈良、大阪の観光を楽しんでいました。
日本人学生にとっても留学生と交流できる良い機会です。

The University and our laboratory are actively accepting international students.

P*e from Thailand visited Japan from April to June 2024.

Japanese students will be assigned as tutors to the foreign students.
They will help students to prepare for life in Japan, guide them to schools, and assist them with procedures at the city office to make their life in Japan anxiety-free.

Some students go sightseeing with international students.
For example, Mr. Sakamoto (M2) and Mr. Kakiuchi (M1) enjoyed sightseeing in USJ, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka with international students last year.
This is a good opportunity for Japanese students to interact with international students.

【Completion of a master course】
2024年3月22日、本学にて修了証書授与式が執り行われました。主に本研究室に所属するM2が参加しました。
修了おめでとうございます。

授与式の後、インターンシップ学生の修了も併せて送別会を開きました。

On March 22, 2024, a certificate awarding ceremony was held at the University. M2 students mainly belonging to this laboratory participated in the ceremony.
Congratulations on the completion of the program.

After the award ceremony, a farewell party was held in conjunction with the completion of the internship students.

【Bestow】
ICBの佐藤嘉伸教授がMICCAIからフェローの称号を授与されました。MICCAIは医用画像処理とコンピュータ外科の世界屈指の学会であり、当該分野での顕著な学術成果と貢献が認められた研究者、毎年3名にフェローの称号を授与しています。昨年までに51名が授与され、日本の研究機関からはこれまで2名授与されています。佐藤教授は日本で3人目の授与となります。おめでとうございます。

Professor Yoshinobu Sato of ICB has been awarded the title of Fellow by MICCAI, the world's leading society for medical imaging and computer surgery, which awards the title of Fellow to three researchers each year in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and contributions in the field. Fifty-one Fellows have been awarded by last year, and two Fellows from Japanese research institutions have been awarded so far. Professor Sato is the third Japanese recipient. Congratulations!
