Seiryo Festival, is happening this weekend!
With food stalls, live performances, and interactive events,

🪴YOKOHAMA-SXIP 2025 | Program Highlights 🪴
YOKOHAMA-SXIP is an international collaborative program
hosted by YNU in partnership with Anna University, IIT Kanpur,
Panjab University, VIT in India, as well as Griffith University
and the University of Newcastle in Australia 🇮🇳🇦🇺

The program aims to develop future leaders
who can contribute to a sustainable society.
It features collaborative group work, industrial tours,
and the YNU International Symposium, where students from diverse countries and
academic backgrounds work together to address real-world sustainability challenges.

Thanks to the active engagement of participating students,
YOKOHAMA-SXIP 2025 was successfully concluded 💫

The program will be held again in 2026,
and participants are currently being selected at each partner university.
We look forward to welcoming the next cohort and sharing another great experience
together 💪

🌸Spring 2026 JOY Program | April 1 🌸
On April 1, we held the opening ceremony
for the Spring 2026 JOY Program!

This semester, we are excited to welcome
new exchange students from 23 partner
universities across 13 countries to YNU 🌏

The JOY Program (Junior Year Overseas at YNU)
is a one-year exchange program that offers
undergraduate students a unique opportunity
to experience Japanese university life while
gaining a deeper understanding of Japan and
its role in the global community.

Officially known as the Open-Air Concert Hall,
“Yaon” is a favorite hangout spot
right in the heart of the YNU campus 🌞

On sunny days, it’s filled with picnics,
sports, and even singing practice 🥪🥍🎶

During the university festival,
a stage will be set up here—
so stay tuned and don’t miss it!

✨ Joint Opening Ceremony at YNU | April 3✨
On April 3, a joint opening ceremony for the YNU – Sejong University Exchange Program and the Japanese Language and Culture Program was held at the International Education Center, Yokohama National University 🤝

🇰🇷 YNU–Sejong University Exchange Program
This one-year program aims not only to help students improve their Japanese language skills, but also to develop promising human resources with a good understanding of Japan through exchanges with YNU students and volunteers.
This spring, 23 students began their study abroad life at YNU.

🇹🇼 Japanese Language and Culture Program
This one-year training program supports students who specialize in Japanese language or culture to deepen their studies of Japan while improving their Japanese language skills and understanding of Japanese culture at Japanese universities.
From Fall 2025, 12 students from Tamkang University, Taiwan, have joined YNU.

At the ceremony, students, faculty members from Sejong University, and international student tutors came together and enjoyed meaningful exchanges 🫶

We shared important information to support a smooth and comfortable start to
