当科の光明祐希先生が、第39回環太平洋外科系学会日本支部会学術大会（PPSA-JC＠沖縄）にて口演発表を行い、Bronze賞を受賞しました。
発表タイトルは「Preclinical assessment agreement between optical frequency domain imaging and pathology in rabbit subglottic mucosal lesions」です。
本研究では、小児の声門下腔狭窄の程度を評価する際に、従来用いられてきたMyer–Cotton分類に加え、OCT（Optical Coherence Tomography）を用いたより客観的な評価の可能性について検証しました。
今後も、小児の気道疾患に対して、より先進的で安全な小児外科医療を提供できるよう取り組んでまいります。
Dr. Yuki Komyo gave an oral presentation at the 39th Pacific Partnership for Surgical Association – Japan Chapter Annual Meeting (PPSA-JC, Okinawa) and received the Bronze Award.
The title of the presentation was:
“Preclinical assessment agreement between optical frequency domain imaging and pathology in rabbit subglottic mucosal lesions.”
In this study, the severity of pediatric subglottic stenosis was evaluated not only using the conventional Myer–Cotton classification, but also by exploring the potential of optical coherence tomography (OCT) as a more objective assessment method.
We will continue striving to provide advanced and safe pediatric surgical care for children with airway diseases.
