K1 this week have been researching and putting into practice water recycling and filtering :)

Our preschool class is also involved with the ocean theme this month. They have been playing many games like fishing for coloured fish and a game with "small", "medium" and "large" fish, octopus, sharks and seahorses.

K2 have finished their bathing elephant families ... very cute !!

In the science section they have been comparing whether a slim fish can travel faster across the water compared to a round fish.

K1 class this week have been discovering many interesting themes. Making a glitter dome using water, oil, glitter and food colouring. Then in the afternoon they looked at how vinegar and food colouring reacted to baking soda. Well done guys and girls,... very cool.

Preschool have been researching how insects react with different types and tastes of food. After we made our very own bee.

K2 this week have been discovering how bees work in the environment, and creating their own paintings.

The big kids in K2 are looking at how insects develop from beginning to end, especially with butterflies and silk worms. Honey also has an important cycle in the insect world ... lucky K2 get to eat some yummy honey straight from a bee hive.

The preschool crew are up to interesting things this month, they have been looking at how different types of insects can fly or not fly. For this game lots of insects were turned upside down and the children had to choose a random card and figure out if it can fly or crawl.
