We thought that it would be less snow this year, due to elninyo that has affected the weather in Japan. There was no snow in X'mas last year like before and weather is not so that cold. Anyway, these photos taken in Iwate University this morning (20 Jan) show how the weather changed since yesterday. God send us a lot of snow to make Morioka be Morioka! And we heard that from today it would be more snow this winter.

岩手大学　平成２６年度第１回オープンキャンパス開催のお知らせです。 (English translation below) 第1回オープンキャンパスは8月6日（水）９：３０－１５：００に開催します。

We will hold "2014 Iwate University Summer Open Campus" on 6th August (Wed) 9:30 - 15:00. You can observe laboratories and have a study tour of our campus that day. The GANDAISEI (Iwate university student) will explain and guide you their laboratories' activities and also their studies in this event. Please come and have Iwate university study tour. This festival would be hold on the second Saturday of June every year. The parade would start from Takizawa-shi, city located next to Morioka city, and come into Morioka via Morioka station and end at Morioka Hachiman Shrine. There is a legend that in rainy season of Iwate, lasts from beginning of June, it would not be rain on the day of festival. Anyway, It was raining this year due to the global warming. Due to this phenomenon everyone please be kind to our earth. So, we can preserve nature beautiful to our next generation.

「岩手大学農学部　農業教育資料館　－旧盛岡高等農林学校本館」は確かに「探偵学院Ｑ」の舞台であるＱクラス向け学舎でしょう。It seems that “Iwate University : former Morioka Collage of Agriculture and Forestry main building” was the model for making the building of class Q in a comic and animation named “Detective School Q”
