Congratulations to the five students (1 Ph.D. student, 4 Master's degree students) who graduated today. While studying very hard, they successfully juggled work and childrearing. It is a shame that not all of the students could attend the official ceremony due to work, but we held a small ceremonial session at our department. All the best, and look forward to more collaborations in the future.

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom at Kochi Medical School. Happy farewell to Hirota sensei, who will be a professor at the Faculty of Human Health and Science, Matsumoto University from April. We will miss you, while looking at a positive aspect that our department's network is expanding further.

Kochi Medical School Hospital has been collaborating with Universidade de Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil since 2012 to provide better healthcare in the region. Recent focus is advanced medical diagnostic and therapeutic measures, especially endoscopy. A team of three gastroenterologists and a nurse lead by Vice President and head of our department Professor Narufumi Suganuma, did an excellent job. The current workshop was provided as a collaborative project of Kochi Medical School, Kochi South Rotary Club and Campo Grande University Rotary Club supported by Rotary International Foundation.
