The University Network for Climate and Ecosystems Change Adaptation Research (UN-CECAR) was established in 2009 by leading universities in the Asia Pacific region to strengthen higher education to respond effectively to climate and ecosystems change. The network will bring together all-available resources and expertise across disciplinary lines to work collaboratively to enhance understanding on h

United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) would like to invite applicants to the "10-day training programme" on Climate Change Downscaling approaches and applications in water and food sectors.

After the very successful previous training programmes in the past years, we are excited to announce the "2015 Spring Training Programme on Climate Change Downscaling Approaches and Applications" that will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka with the support of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT).

The the training modules consists of the following course categories : Science of climate change and downscaling, dynamic and statistical downscaling methods, impacts on the rice production and impacts on floods.

The Training programme will be held from March 30th to April 10th of 2015. These are open to postgraduate students, researchers and faculty staff of universities, government officials, international agencies, and professionals in relevant professions.
