皆さん、こんにちは。そしてはじめまして。中国香港出身のチルチルと申します。2026年春学期のCJLリポーターになれてとっても光栄だと思っております。初めて日本に留学する時きっと色んな不安やどうすればいいのという状況がありますし、私も未だに悩むことがありますが、ここで発信することで自分の経験の振り返りもできれば皆さんとシェアしたいと思います。
私の趣味は美術展巡りとバレエです。日本に来たきっかけの一つは、香港で長年私にバレエを教えてくださった日本人の先生が東京に戻られたことです。先生のもとで引き続きバレエを学びたいと思い、日本へ留学することを決めました。もちろん、一番大きな理由は、日本の文化や生活、言葉をもっと深く学びたかったからです。
私は一つの国を理解する上で、言語は欠かせないものだと考えています。言葉の単語一つひとつに歴史や思想が込められ、言語の仕組みからその国の人々の考え方が読み取れるのです。翻訳では表しきれない暮らしの雰囲気や考え方も数多く存在します。
幼い頃から文章を書くことが好きで、卒業後は本職以外に、ライターの仕事に就き、いずれは自身の本を出版する夢も叶えたいと願っています。これからも初心を忘れず、日々少しずつ努力を積み重ねてまいります。

Hello everyone, nice to meet you. I’m Chill Chill from Hong Kong. It is my honour to serve as a CJL reporter for the spring semester of 2026.
Like many people studying in Japan for the first time, I had a lot of anxiety and questions about what to do before coming here. And even now, I still face uncertainty from time to time. That is why I became a CJL reporter: to share my experiences, useful tips, and life hacks with all of you.
In my spare time, I enjoy visiting art exhibitions and practising ballet. In fact, one of the reasons I came to Japan is that my ballet teacher from Hong Kong returned to Tokyo. My wish to continue learning ballet under her guidance had become an important motivation for me to come here. Besides ballet, I also hope to learn more about Japanese culture and language.
I always believe that language is the foundation for understanding a country. Every word reflects the history and philosophy behind a culture, and language structures often reveal how its people think. Moreover, some unique emotions and ways of life can never be fully conveyed through translation. Therefore, you can never truly understand a country through another language alone, just as you can never truly know a person only through other people’s comments about them.
I have also been passionate about writing since childhood. In the future, alongside my main job, I plan to be a freelance writer, and hopefully someday I will publish my own books. To achieve these goals, I have been learning and practising continuously every day. Thank you for reading this note, and have a nice day! ;)
