Mwala Technical and vocational college is participating in the National Jukwaa la Wasomi Mediation and Peacebuilding Initiative, a programme implemented by the Universities and Colleges Students’ Peace Association of Kenya (UCSPAK) through the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders.
The College is represented by the Principal ,Dean of Students, and Student leaders President and Deputy president.
Jukwaa la Wasomi is a mediation and preventive security training programme designed to equip students and staff working in the Dean of Students’ office with the knowledge, practical skills, ethical standards and professional competencies required to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts through mediation. The programme also promotes dialogue, conflict prevention, peacebuilding and safer learning environments in institutions of higher learning.
The training was held from 31 August to 11 September 2026.
The Graduation Ceremony is taking place today at the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies, Upper Kabete, Kiambu County. The Ceremony is graced by the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, and the Principal Secretary for Higher Education, Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, who are in attendance
