Kibondeni College had the amazing privilege of hosting the Conference delegates . people from all over the world gathered under one roof for a night of music, fun, networking, and impact!

The theme “The Future of Africa: Challenges and Opportunities” speaks deeply to what we do every day . Educate and equip young women with hospitality skills to lead, serve, and shine. 🌸

Hosting events like this gives our girls real-world experience while helping subsidize school fees for students from low-income families. So every event held here doesn’t just create memories , it changes lives. 💕

In 1961, a small group of girls from Tetu, Nyeri took a bold step into the unknown. At a time when education for girls was rare — and professional training almost unimaginable — they became the very first students of what we now know as Kibondeni College.

They boarded in the catering department, learning practical skills in the mornings and theory in the afternoons. By 1962, some had already mastered enough to qualify for catering careers and even run entire institutions.

What began as two classrooms has grown into a nationally respected college, shaping the futures of thousands of women and transforming communities across Kenya. 🌍💫

Today, Kibondeni remains a home of courage, resilience, and opportunity — a place where women dare to dream and rise.

🚨 We need to talk! 🚨

There’s a conversation we can’t dodge anymore: Artificial Intelligence (AI).
It’s here. It’s loud. And let’s be real—it’s not packing its bags anytime soon. In fact… it might just check into our hotels before some of our guests do. 😉

AI is already shaking up industries everywhere—finance, healthcare, transport… and yes, even hospitality. Which leaves us with some big questions:

🍴 What will AI change in our kitchens, hotels, and restaurants?
🤖 Do we have what it takes to co-exist with it—or will it replace us?
🎓 How do we prepare the next generation of hospitality professionals to work with AI instead of competing against it?
🏫 Are our institutions ready for this shift?
🌍 And the big one: how soon before AI takes full root in Kenya and Africa?

Hospitality has always been about warmth, culture, and the human touch. But in a future of smart kitchens, chatbots at check-in, and data-driven guest experiences—what happens to that unique Kenyan smile no machine can ever replicate?
