On 26 September 2026, NUM School of Public Policy conducted a consultative workshop on curriculum design for bachelor’s and master’s programs.

The workshop opened with welcoming remarks by Associate Professor Dr. Nop Kanharith, Director of the School of Public Policy, followed by the presentation of the first draft of curriculum research. An engaging discussion was then led by Assistant Professor Dr. Kim Veara, Director of the ASEAN Economic Research Institute, focusing on essential skills, capabilities, and subjects for future public policy graduates.

This important dialogue brought together government officials, NGOs, academics, and development partners — including the GEDSI Consortium and The Asia Foundation — to review the draft curriculum. Their insights were vital in shaping priority skills, subjects, and inclusive approaches, ensuring our programs respond to Cambodia’s policy needs and global challenges.

The Youth Policy Forum is initiated by NUM and supported by the Australian Government through the Ponlok Chomnes II Program.

🎓 NUM School of Public Policy – Thesis Defense Examination (Round 2)

On 25 September 2026, the School of Public Policy at the National University of Management (NUM) successfully held the Thesis Defense Examination – Round 2 for master’s students of the International Master Program in Public Policy and the Master of Science in Digital Economy (Cohort 27, Academic Year 2025–2026).

The session was presided over by Assist. Prof. Pok Phearoun, Vice-Rector of NUM, together with members of the Examination Committee, at the NUM International Campus.

On September 17, 2026, students of the Bachelor of Arts in International Relations actively participated in the “Dialogue with Diplomats – Theodore Roosevelt and the Making of Modern American Diplomacy.”

We would like to express our profound thanks to Mr. Louis Metcalfe, Vice Consul at the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh, who provided our students with valuable insights into how President Theodore Roosevelt—the first American Nobel Peace Prize laureate—mediated an end to a great-power conflict in Asia and launched the Great White Fleet.

Last but not least, we extend our sincere gratitude to AmCam Exchange for organizing this enriching event for our students.

“Hello everyone, I’m Chiv Thadyna, a year 2 student majoring in International Relations at NUM School of Public Policy. I chose NUM because English is used in the program with professors from different countries and NUM also provides many exchange program opportunities to students. I’m very happy to be part of this university because the classmates, staffs, professors and directors are very friendly and supportive. Because of this program, I got a chance to join two weeks summer exchange program at Hanoi Law University. It was my first time being away from home for that long and it was a great experience. I met students from different countries, exchanged cultures, learned about law, joined group work and presentations, and visited law firms, the Supreme Court, museums and historical sites. This experience helped me learn new things, grow as a person, cooperate with others, and build connections with people from different countries.”

💡 តើអ្វីជា "ទំនាក់ទំនងអន្តរជាតិ"?
ទំនាក់ទំនងអន្តរជាតិ (International Relations) គឺជាវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រដែលសិក្សាអំពីទំនាក់ទំនង និងអន្តរកម្មរវាងតួអង្គផ្សេងៗលើឆាកអន្តរជាតិ ដោយឈរលើគោលការណ៍ច្បាប់អន្តរជាតិ។ តួអង្គទាំងនោះរួមមានបណ្តា រដ្ឋអធិបតេយ្យ (ប្រទេសនីមួយៗ) អង្គការអន្តរជាតិ អង្គការក្រៅរដ្ឋាភិបាលអន្តរជាតិ (INGOs) និង ក្រុមហ៊ុន/សាជីវកម្មពហុជាតិ។

ការសិក្សាជំនាញនេះ នឹងជួយឱ្យនិស្សិតយល់ដឹងស៊ីជម្រៅអំពីគ្រប់បាតុភូតនយោបាយ សេដ្ឋកិច្ច សង្គម វប្បធម៌ និងបញ្ហាសន្តិសុខសកល។

📌 ហេតុអ្វីគួរជ្រើសរើសរៀនជំនាញនេះ?

១. យល់ដឹងពីច្បាប់ និងតថភាពសកល
មូលដ្ឋានគ្រឹះការទូត៖ យល់ដឹងពីគោលការណ៍ ច្បាប់ និងពិធីការនានាដែលគ្រប់គ្រងទំនាក់ទំនងរវាងរដ្ឋ។
តាមដានស្ថានការណ៍ពិភពលោក៖ យល់ដឹងទាន់ហេតុការណ៍អំពីបញ្ហាសន្តិសុខ សង្គ្រាម សិទ្ធិមនុស្ស ការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុ និងសេដ្ឋកិច្ចសកល។

On Saturday, 12 September 2026, the NUM School of Public Policy coordinated the Final Qualitative Research Training for Youth Policy Forum students.

The program covered Interview Design, Field Interview Practice, Interview Documentation, and Qualitative Data Analysis. Guided by Assistant Prof. Dr. Kim Veara and coordinated by Associate Prof. Dr. Nop Kanharith, this full-day training at the NUM Vealsbov International Campus strengthened essential research skills for students’ academic journey.

We sincerely thank all representatives, partners, and students for their valuable contributions and active participation, which made the session meaningful and impactful.
