We are happy to share that our B.A. student, CHHEUY Sothany is embarking on a new academic journey at the University of Putra Malaysia through the Asian International Mobility for Students Programme, a regional multilateral student mobility initiative allowing undergraduate students to study in an Asian country for one semester. 📚

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗰𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀"

Organized by the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) as part of its Alumni program, in partnership with the CCI France Cambodge and the Economics Department of the Ambassade de France au Cambodge, Eco Mornings gives the floor to leaders of French companies established in Cambodia, before an audience blending current students and alumni already active in the professional sector.

It is within this framework that our community visited BRED Bank's premises on September 17, 2026, to meet the VINCI group's teams in Cambodia, represented by two of its entities.

M. Amine Guillot, from VINCI Construction Grands Projets (VCGP), presented the group's historical presence in Cambodia through the Bakheng project: a drinking water treatment plant supplying more than 2.25 million residents of Phnom Penh, delivered with over 3,000 local jobs created and 11 million hours worked without a lost-time accident.

M. Sébastien Lacoin, from Cambodia Airports, a subsidiary of VINCI Airports (the world's leading private airport operator, with 70 airports in 14 countries), presented the group's historical role in airport management in Cambodia: Phnom Penh International Airport (concession until 09/2025) and Siem Reap International Airport (until 10/2023), as well as its current presence through Sihanouk International Airport (concession until 2040) and the new Techo International Airport, operated under a service-provider model led by KTI.

The discussions covered the speakers' professional journeys and the VINCI group's development strategy in Southeast Asia, as well as safety, environmental, and social responsibility challenges.

Porté par l'Université Royale de Droit et des Sciences Économiques (URDSE) dans le cadre de son programme Alumni, en partenariat avec la CCIFC et le Service Économique de l'Ambassade de France, Les Matinales Éco donnent la parole aux dirigeants d'entreprises françaises implantées au Cambodge, devant un public mêlant étudiants en formation et alumni déjà actifs dans le secteur professionnel.

C'est dans ce cadre que notre communauté s'est rendue le 17 septembre 2026 dans les locaux de la BRED Banque pour rencontrer les équipes du groupe VINCI au Cambodge, à travers deux de ses entités.

Mr. Amine Guillot, de VINCI Construction Grands Projets (VCGP), nous a présenté l'ancrage historique du groupe au Cambodge à travers le projet Bakheng : une usine de traitement d'eau potable alimentant plus de 2,25 millions d'habitants de Phnom Penh, réalisée avec plus de 3 000 emplois locaux créés et 11 millions d'heures travaillées sans accident.

Mr. Sébastien Lacoin, de Cambodia Airports, filiale de VINCI Airports (1er opérateur aéroportuaire privé au monde, 70 aéroports dans 14 pays), nous a présenté le rôle historique du groupe dans la gestion aéroportuaire au Cambodge : l'aéroport de Phnom Penh (concession jusqu'en 09/2025) et celui de Siem Reap (jusqu'en 10/2023), ainsi que sa présence actuelle à travers l'aéroport de Sihanoukville (concession jusqu'en 2040) et le nouvel aéroport international Techo, opéré selon un modèle de prestation de service porté par KTI.

Les échanges ont porté sur le parcours des intervenants, la stratégie de développement du groupe VINCI en Asie du Sud-Est, ainsi que sur les enjeux de sécurité, d'environnement et de responsabilité sociale.

Un grand merci à la BRED pour son accueil et aux équipes VINCI pour ce moment d'échange riche entre le monde académique et le monde professionnel.
