⚜️ParagonU Sankranta 2026 Highlights⚜️

On April 3, 2026, the PIUMUN Club took part in the ParagonU Sankranta 2026 celebration. At our booth, we offered Num Banh Chok, a beloved traditional Khmer dish. In addition, we connected with visitors through the popular Khmer game Kla Klouk, creating a fun and lively atmosphere for everyone involved. We are grateful to have been part of this annual event and hope that everyone had a wonderful time with us.

⚜️PIUMUN 2025–2026 3rd Training Session⚜️

We are excited to announce our third training session of the academic year, focusing on Speech Delivery in Model United Nations.
We are honored to welcome Ms. Sokraksa Mean, an honors graduate of the Department of International Relations at Paragon International University, Class of 2024, as our trainer, who will be sharing her insights on this topic. She served as the Director of Treasury for the PIUMUN Club (AY 2022–2023) and was a Cambodian Fellow in the 2023 Junior Resident Fellows Program at the Center for Khmer Studies (CKS).

On February 26, 2026, the Paragon International University Model United Nations Club successfully organized a panel discussion titled “Cambodia’s Foreign Policy in the New Era” at Paragon International University.

The event brought together distinguished speakers including Dr. Sok Udom Deth, Dr. Bradley Jensen Murg, and Mr. Bunly Ek, moderated by Mr. Ung Techhong Luy from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Cambodia.

The discussion explored Cambodia’s evolving foreign policy landscape, highlighting the country’s diplomatic priorities, regional engagement, and global partnerships in today’s changing geopolitical environment.

Meet our moderator for this Thursday panel discussion on Cambodia's Foreign Policy in the New Era🌟

LUY Ung Techhong is a Program Manager for Foreign Affairs & Public Policy at Konrad- Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Cambodia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Paragon International University, where he graduated with High Honors under a scholarship. His research interests include international security and Cambodia's foreign affairs, particularly its evolving role in the region. He has written extensively on Cambodia's bilateral relations with maritime Southeast Asian nations and on small-state foreign policy.

Meet our panelist for this Thursday panel discussion on Cambodia's Foreign Policy in the New Era🌟

EK Bunly is a Lecturer in the Department of International Relations and the Director of the Office of Student Services at Paragon International University. He earned his master’s degree in Global Studies, with a concentration in International Security and Foreign Policy in East Asia, from Yonsei University (South Korea) through the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program. He completed his bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Paragon International University (Cambodia). Bunly is a 2025 Young Leader at the Pacific Forum, an American think tank based in Hawaii, and a research fellow at the Cambodian Center for Regional Studies (CCRS). His research and publications focus on the Cambodia’s relations with the Korean Peninsula, Northeast Asian security dynamics, and ASEAN. His broader research interests include South Korea–ASEAN relations, East Asian Politics, the foreign policy of the Korean Peninsula, and great power rivalry.

Meet our panelist for this Thursday panel discussion on Cambodia's Foreign Policy in the New Era🌟

Bradley J. Murg, PhD is Provost and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Paragon International University in Phnom Penh. He also serves as Adjunct Research Fellow at Pacific Forum (Honolulu); Distinguished Senior Research Fellow and Senior Advisor at the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace; Senior Academic Advisor at Future Forum; co-editor of the Journal of Greater Mekong Studies; and chair of the CSCAP working group on the Mekong River and Greater Mekong Subregion. His work, supported by grants from the Social Science Research Council and the International Research and Exchanges Board, focuses on development policy in Southeast Asia; the politics of foreign aid; China-Southeast Asian Relations; and the political economy of the Greater Mekong Subregion as a whole. Dr. Murg graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University with a B.A./M.A. in philosophy, received a M.Sc. in economic history from the London School of Economics, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Washington. Before moving to Phnom Penh full time in 2020, Dr. Murg spent 8 years as professor of political science and director of global development studies at Seattle Pacific University. His research languages include Mandarin Chinese, French, Russian, and German.
