The initial stage of the Curriculum Development Workshop for the proposed Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree Programme in Marine Ecology was successfully held on 15th September 2026 at the Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCUSL).

The workshop was conducted as part of the CRM Capacity Building Project of Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU), marking an important step towards the development of the proposed degree programme in Marine Ecology. 🌊🐚

🌍📚 Educational Program at Hagala Maha Vidyalaya , Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka

Under the NRF Project conducted through the collaboration of Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) and Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCU), an educational lecture program was successfully held at Hagala Maha Vidyalaya, Polonnaruwa.

The session was conducted by Project Director Professor Sun Young Lim, who shared valuable knowledge and insights with the students and school community. The program aimed to inspire young minds, promote educational development, and strengthen international academic collaboration between South Korea and Sri Lanka.

We sincerely thank the school administration, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to making this program a success.

We are pleased to share that on Monday, March 16, 2026, the Ocean University of Sri Lanka received a generous donation of laboratory equipment under the Coastal Resources Management Capacity Building Project of the Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCUSL) and Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU).

This donation will greatly enhance the research and academic capabilities of the university students, strengthening the commitment to excellence in marine and coastal studies.
