서강대학교 동아연구소에서 2025년 12월 19일(금) 오후 4시부터 한국외국어대학교 동남아연구소 인문사회연구단의 이채문 전임연구원님을 모시고 초청강연을 진행합니다. 이번 강연은 태국의 대중문화, 특히 드라마에서 나타나는 여성서사와 태국형 소프트파워를 검토하는 시간을 가질 예정이니, 많은 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다.

태국 탐마삿대학교에서 언어학 석사학위를 취득한 뒤 같은 대학에서 "뮤지엄사얌의 문화적 실천"이라는 주제로 인류학 박사학위를 받았다. 주요 연구분야는 태국의 대중문화 및 사회문화적 맥락에서 본 태국인의 정체성이다. 현재는 소속 연구단의 핵심 과제인 재한 동남아시아인의 다국적 정체성 연구의 일환으로 한국 내 거주 중인 태국 이주민에 대해 연구하고 있다.

캐나다 토론토대학, 영국 런던 정치경제대학을 거쳐 캐나다 토론토대학에서 미얀마 내전의 정치경제적 연구로 정치학 박사를 취득하였다. 주요 연구분야는 미얀마를 비롯한 동남아시아의 내전, 반군정치, 정치폭력 등이다. 2015년 유엔 프로젝트 조달 기구 미얀마사무소에서 사진 기록 인턴으로 일하며 미얀마와 첫 인연을 맺었다. 현재는 태국-미얀마 국경을 중심으로 내전경제와 휴전을 통한 무장정치 메커니즘을 연구하고 있다.
