📘 Introducing the Journal of Confucian Philosophy and Culture (JCPC)
Founded in 2001 by the Institute of Confucian Philosophy and Culture at Sungkyunkwan University, the Journal of Confucian Philosophy and Culture (JCPC) is the only English-language academic journal in the world solely dedicated to Confucian philosophy and culture.

JCPC is a fully open-access journal, freely available to readers worldwide. It is currently indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and Scopus, reflecting its growing global reach and recognition in the field of philosophy, East Asian studies, and religious thought.
🧠 Aims and Scope
JCPC seeks to advance scholarly understanding of both the classical foundations and contemporary applications of Confucian thought. The journal publishes original, peer-reviewed research that engages critically with the Confucian tradition and its relevance in areas such as:
• Ethics and political theory
• Education and ritual
• Cultural identity and global dialogue
• Comparative philosophy and religion
We welcome contributions that foster dialogue between Eastern and Western philosophical traditions, as well as interdisciplinary approaches connecting Confucianism with other humanistic and social scientific frameworks.
