Opening of the Newly Renovated Canteen at Naleemiah
__________
As part of expanding facilities for students and staff, the long-awaited canteen at the Naleemiah premises was officially opened on 22 April 2026 in the presence of the Rector and staff members.
While Naleemiah provides three daily meals through its kitchen and food services division, the canteen has been established as an additional facility, alongside the tuck shop, to cater to the daily needs and enhance the convenience of students, staff, and visitors.
The building, which previously existed on campus, has been fully renovated and upgraded into a modern canteen facility to serve the needs of the Naleemiah community and its visitors.
The event commenced with a brief session at the Masjid, where the Rector highlighted the purpose of this initiative and emphasised the importance of providing additional facilities to enhance student and staff welfare. He extended his sincere appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the masons and teams responsible for roofing, plumbing, wiring, welding, carpentry, and electrical work, which contributed to the successful completion of the renovation.
Special appreciation was extended to the Secretary of Administrative Affairs, Mr. M. I. Imdhad Ali, for his supervision and oversight of the project. The Rector also acknowledged the contributions of the Administrative Officer, Ash-Sheikh M. I. M. Rizwan, as well as the members of the General Administration Council (GAC) for their continued support in bringing the project to completion.
He also thanked architect Mr. Shaam Nizamuddeen and his team for their valuable design input and professional contribution to the successful planning and ex*****on of the renovation works.
The Rector further expressed his gratitude to the Naleemiah Alumni – Qatar Branch (NOBAQ) for their partial financial contribution towards this project.
The establishment of this canteen marks a significant step in enhancing campus facilities and providing added convenience to students, staff, and visitors.
