Kandy UNI proudly marked a significant milestone by hosting its first ever Freshers Tournament 2026 at the Digana Sports Complex, bringing together our student community in a celebration of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The Awards Ceremony was graced ๐Œ๐ซ๐ฌ. ๐‘๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ข ๐˜๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐š, distinguished Sri Lankan national netball athlete and coach, as our Chief Guest. Her inspiring words and presence encouraged our young athletes to strive for excellence both on and off the field.

The event was further honored by the presence of ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐š๐๐ก๐ฐ๐š ๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ก, Dean, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Academic Officer, together with Academic and Administrative staff, who joined in recognizing the outstanding achievements of our student athletes.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Kandy UNI Sports Council, Sports Captains, Vice Captains, organizing committee, Media UNIT, volunteers, and every team member whose dedication, commitment, and teamwork made this landmark event a resounding success.
