Under the Radar, On the Front Lines
​The latest Day of the Seafarer campaign shines a spotlight on the intense pressures, hardships, and dangers mariners face—particularly those navigating through conflict zones and high-risk waters. Even under these perilous conditions, their dedication is what keeps the global economy afloat.

​Driven by the theme “Carrying world trade. Carrying the risks,” the initiative draws attention to a critical truth: the essential work of seafarers is largely invisible to the public, despite the immense hazards involved.

Ultimately, the campaign seeks to honor their indispensable global service while openly acknowledging the profound personal sacrifices and dangers that come with the job.

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Harsha Wimalarathne (Gala), while on board the ship. Harsha was not only a cherished member of our association but also a friend, a batchmate, and a brother to many within our community.
