✨ Building Capacity for the Future of Computing! ✨

The Faculty of Computing (FOC) recently concluded a highly successful capacity-building workshop on "Introduction to High Performance Cluster" tailored for our dedicated Academic and Technical staff members! 💻🔥

To stay ahead of modern technological demands, this hands-on session focused on sharpening our team's skills in handling advanced computing environments and powerful server architectures.

Our expert resource person, Akalanka Senanayake (DevSecOps Engineer), walked the team through critical operational topics:
✅ Cluster Architecture & Software Requirements
✅ Creating and connecting new nodes to a master node
✅ Running parallel processors smoothly in multi-user setups
✅ Masterclass on resource scheduling using SLURM

Thank you to our resource person for sharing his expertise, and a huge shoutout to our FOC staff members for their active participation! We look forward to seeing these skills translated into upgraded research support and enhanced computing lab capabilities. 🚀
