Liberia International Christian College (LICC) invites applications for the position of Academic Department Chair.

Position Summary
The Academic Department Chair provides academic and administrative leadership for the department while continuing to serve as a faculty member. The Chair works collaboratively with faculty and administration to improve graduate competence, strengthen curriculum and instruction, support faculty development, and advance the mission of the College.
The Academic Department Chair provides academic and administrative leadership to the department, ensuring the quality and integrity of its educational, research, and service missions. As a faculty leader and administrative manager, the Chair supports curriculum development, faculty development, student learning and graduate competence, and alignment with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide academic and administrative leadership to the department.
Support continuous improvement of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Mentor and evaluate faculty.
Promote academic integrity and professional conduct.
Support accreditation and compliance efforts.
Foster collaboration among faculty, students, and administration.
Maintain effective departmental operations and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in the discipline or a closely related field.
College or university teaching experience.
Evidence of leadership, initiative, and professional responsibility.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to student learning and educational quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Academic leadership experience.
Curriculum development and assessment experience.
Faculty mentoring experience.
Experience with accreditation or quality assurance processes.
Evidence of professional development and scholarship.
Character and Mission Fit
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Liberia International Christian College.
