Congratulatory and Revolutionary Address

Chairman, Vanguard Students Unification Party (SUP), BCC Chapter

Fellow comrades, student leaders, and members of the Bomi Community College student body,

Today stands as a historic and defining moment in the democratic struggle of the students of Bomi Community College. As Chairman of the Vanguard Students Unification Party (SUP), BCC Chapter, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the duly elected Student Council Government officials who were inducted into office today. Your victory is not merely personal; it is a collective triumph of student consciousness, courage, and commitment to service.

To the officials elected under the banner of the Students Unification Party (SUP), I offer special appreciation and encouragement.

You were not elected by accident, nor by sentiment, but by the confidence of the student populace who believe in our ideology of justice, equity, accountability, and fearless representation.

Whether or not the head of the leadership comes from our party, let it be clearly known that SUP stands with the students first, not positions, not titles, and not political convenience.

Even as we may not hold the highest seat, we command the majority voice, and with that majority comes responsibility.

You are mandated to work in the best interest of all students, regardless of political affiliation. Let your conduct reflect discipline, unity, and revolutionary maturity. Power is not measured by who sits at the head, but by who stands firm for the people.

I must also speak from the depth of my heart about a moment that deeply overwhelmed me today.

When the elected officials of the Students Unification Party collectively turned over their sashes to me as Chairman, it was not just a symbolic act, it was a powerful reaffirmation of loyalty, belief, and commitment to the ideology and principles from which they emerged.

That gesture reminded me that SUP is not just a party; SUP is a movement, a belief system, and a revolutionary force for student liberation.

Comrades, this is not the end of the struggle,it is the beginning of greater responsibility. Go forth and serve with courage. Defend the rights of the students. Speak truth to authority. Resist injustice in all its forms. History will not remember titles; it will remember those who stood firm when it mattered most.

Long live the students of Bomi Community College.
Long live unity, justice, and revolutionary leadership.
Long live the Vanguard Students Unification Party (SUP)!

PRESS STATEMENT

Office of the Superintendent, County administrator, honorable mayor, Tubmanburg city, members of the legislative caucus, President of the Bomi community college, members of the fourth estates, parents, fellow students, I greet you all.

October 6, 2025

We, the student body of the Bomi Community College, wish to express our deep frustration and disappointment over the prolonged strike action by the Rural Universities and Colleges Faculties Association of Liberia (RUCFAL), which has brought all academic activities to a complete halt.

This strike action, which involves both employed and non-employed instructors across Liberia, including various dean's and office staffs at the Bomi community college, Who have stems from legitimate concerns raised by (RUCFAL), which include:

1. Salary Standardization – Instructors with the same academic qualifications continue to receive unequal salaries, which we believe is unjust.

2. Research Allowance – There is no provision or support for academic research, which is a key pillar of higher education.

3. Relocation Allowance – Instructors who are transferred to rural counties are not supported adequately to resettle, leading to hardship and low moral.

While we recognize and respect the rights of our instructors to demand fair treatment, we, the students, are the ones who suffer the most. Our right to education is being denied. Students usually transport themselves daily to campus with the hope of attending classes, only to return home without learning. This has resulted in:

1. Waste of time and resources by students and their families.
2. Delays in completing academic programs, impacting future employment opportunities.
3. A growing sense of hopelessness and discouragement among the student population.
4. Denied peaceful transition of students leadership which is Paramount in every political setting.
5. Hindering the progress of the Bomi community college transitional Plan to a western region university.

> This is a total violation of Article 15 section (b) of the 1986 Liberian constitution which guarantee all citizens the right to quality education, academic freedom to eliminate illiteracy.

However, We have taken every peaceful and lawful measure to engage stakeholders:

We have held several meetings with the college administration, including the college president, but no tangible progress has been made.

We wrote to county officials, including the Superintendent and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

We participated in live discussions on both city radio stations to raise awareness and seek redress.

Unfortunately, there has been no concrete response or intervention. We consider the inaction of the Superintendent who is the representative of the national government in the county — as a demonstration of neglect and insensitivity to the plight of the students.

Therefore, we are left with no alternative but to issue this final call to national government:

We are hereby giving the President of the Republic of Liberia and relevant authorities this week to engage in dialogue with our instructors and resolve this matter, so that normal academic activities can resume.

Failure to do so will leave us, the students of Bomi County Community College, with no option but to peacefully shut down all government offices in Bomi county until our right to education is restored. (2x)

We want to make it very clear: We are not taking sides with the government or the instructors. Our interest is solely rooted in the pursuit of our education and our future.

The time for dialogue is now.
The time for leadership is now.
We demand action.
We demand education.
We demand justice.

The Vanguard Students unification party SUP Condemned the results of the 2025 semester II general students election.

The Vanguard Students unification party (SUP) Bomi community college chapter Condemned the results of the just ended students election in the Bomi community college and hereby called for a Re-election.

Critical voices are raised to address issues of concerned, afterward actions follows when those voices are ignored.

The Executive Members of the Student Unification Party (SUP) want to use this pressures time to appreciate all students of the Bomi community college for exercising their voting rights in the just ended students election in our beloved institution BCC.

We also want to extant our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporers for showing us such love behind all reasonable doubt, and we promise to working with you to ensure that our institution is uplifted.

In our platform, we Spoke of reconciliation which we will remain committed to if the right thing is done the right way.

In the light of our dissatisfaction, We hereby present the following counts for your urgent attention and expects the right thing to be done in the soonest possible time.

Count One: Discrepancy in Ballot Figures

According to the official results released by your office, a total of 391 students voted in the election for the position of Financial Secretary. It is our understanding that each of those voters also received ballots for the General Secretary and Presidential positions.

Logically, this should result in 391 ballots being cast in each of these three categories. However, the results reported are as follows:

Financial Secretaries: 391 ballots cast

General Secretaries: 381 ballots cast

Presidential candidates: 386 ballots cast

This inconsistency is alarming and suggests potential foul play or administrative oversight. We request a full review and clarification of these results.

Count Two: Breach of Electoral Neutrality

During the counting process, Mr. Ernest Mulbah, a journalist from Pumah FM, was allowed in the hall. We have credible evidence that he is a supporter of the candidate who ran against our party.

Our party observer immediately raised concerns, recommending that the journalist in question should be send out, and it was turned down by you honorable chairman. The lack of action undermines the neutrality of the process and the credibility of the board of commissioners.

Count Three: Unauthorized and Misleading preliminary Results

While the official counting was still ongoing, Mr. Ernest Mulbah of Pumah FM, a self Claimed journalist posted a preliminary election results to the public by 9:09pm.

Upon inquiry, you, the Chairperson of the SIEC informed us that the results posted were neither authorized nor accurate. However, it is disturbing to note that the final results released from your office by 11:59pm exactly matched the same misleading figures initially posted by the journalist. This situation has led to serious doubts about the independence and integrity of the counting process.

Count four: the lack of sign or symbol on the ballot papers for Transparency

In every election, the ballot papers must have a unique sign or symbol to ensure that all ballot papers in the ballot boxes came from the commissioners.
Contrary to that, the ballot papers were not stemp with either the school stemp nor the SIEC stemp.

In this light, the Vanguard Students unification party stand firmed to condemned and reject the results posted by the Commissioners.

Call for Re-Election

In light of the above irregularities our party s firmly belief in upholding transparency, fairness, and democratic values, we are kindly requesting that a re-election be conducted as soon as possible. This is necessary to protect the credibility of the students Independent Election Commission (SIEC), to restore trust among the student body, and avoid future embarrassment or conflict on campus.

Statement from the Chairman of the Vanguard Student Unification Party (SUP) - BCC Chapter

Dear Students and Community Members,

We want to address a pressing concern regarding political interference in our student politics, specifically by journalist Ernest Mulbah of Puma FM. His recent posts and comments have raised alarms within the Students Unification Party (SUP).

As the chairman of SUP, I urge Mr. Mulbah to invite both parties for a fair and transparent interview on Radio Bomi. It’s crucial for our community to hear balanced perspectives and foster constructive dialogue.

We have noticed that certain journalists at Puma FM, including Foday Sesay, Meloshie Robert,Osama, and others, appear to be supporting the opposition team. This involvement undermines the credibility of our party and raises questions about impartiality in reporting.

We are not afraid to engage in discussions; however, we must consider the environment and the host's apparent bias. If the platform is already taking sides, it diminishes the purpose of our participation.

We believe in open dialogue and hope to work together for a fair representation of all voices in our community.
