The Mandalay Technological University (in short MTU , also known as Government Technological University/ College) is one of the best technological universities in Myanmar and it offers variety of Degree and Master Programs to students from Mandalay Region and all over the upper Myanmar (Master Programs). The formely school, Government Technical Institute was established in July, 1955. It was situated at the corner of 30th and 68th street, Mandalay. In August 1999, it was upgraded to Technological College by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In October 2002, the new buildings of Technological College were set up in the present location. It was upgraded to the level of University in January, 2007, in accordance with the instruction of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Departments

Rules and Regulations
Any direct or indirect action to obstruct the peaceful learning is not allowed. Do not commit moral offenses. Do not make any dealing, taking, using, storing drugs. Smoking and chewing beetle in classrooms and workshops are not allowed. Be polite and respectful to all staff, all peoples and principal and behave very well not to degrade them. Do not commit any other naughty action to school girls and ladies on-campus or off-campus. Drinking alcohol and gambling on campus or off campus are not excused. Obey your teachers. State and public belongs on campus or off campus must not be destroyed. Do not bring any dangerous weapons into the compound. Do not break any rules and regulations of the University. All the students must attend the classes regularly. Everybody must be in class or workshop after the first bell. Be ready in class to study after the second bell. When the teacher enters the classroom, all the students stand up and greet the teacher '' Min ga lar bar '' in unison and recite five ethics of pupils. Every student must have (75%) of attendance for the academic year in order to get the opportunity to sit for the final examination.The students under (75%) of attendance will not be allowed to sit for the final examination. Follow the occasional rules and regulations. Follow the examination rules. Every student should sit for the Mid-term exam: and other tests without being absent. In any exam:, cheating and plagiarism are not allowed. If so, expulsion will be ever. Enrollment is mentioned for all the healthy and fit students. Not for the disabled or deaf and dumb people. In schooldays, every student should put on school uniform only. Dying hair is not allowed for all the students.Keeping long hair, wearing studs and other ear- dressing, and other dressing which is not in accordance with traditional culture are not allowed for the school boys. While studying in this University, joining other institute/ college/ university simultaneously will not be acknowledged. If found out, expulsion will be ever. Degree Offer
