MPU Scholars Publish Breakthrough Research Revealing the Dual Pathway Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence💡

澳門理工大學人文及社會科學學院副教授張紅峰，聯合公共政策博士學位課程畢業生李繁博及博士生陳小龍，在國際權威學術期刊《Journal of Educational Computing Research》（《教育計算研究學刊》）上發表了題為《Implicit Expectations and Cognitive Construction: Dual Pathways Shaping Graduate Students' Sustained Engagement With Generative AI》（內隱期望與認知建構：研究生持續使用生成式人工智能之雙重影響路徑）的研究論文。研究不僅在理論層面認為，透過提高研究生的技術創新準備度、管理其隱性期望及強化理性認知框架，可有效促進研究生對生成式人工智能的持續且深入的使用，更在實踐層面推動了高等教育與科研領域的數位化轉型。

Associate Professor Zhang Hongfeng from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FCHS) at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), together with Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy graduate Li Fanbo and doctoral candidate Chen Xiaolong, publishes a research paper in the internationally renowned academic journal “Journal of Educational Computing Research”. The paper, titled “Implicit Expectations and Cognitive Construction: Dual Pathways Shaping Graduate Students' Sustained Engagement With Generative AI,” not only argues at the theoretical level that enhancing graduate students’ technological innovation readiness, managing their implicit expectations, and reinforcing their rational cognitive framework can effectively promote their sustained and in depth use of generative AI, but also, at the practical level, actively drives the digital transformation of higher education and scientific research.

MPU Holds Award Ceremony for the 18th Macao-wide IT Competition – Artificial Intelligence Creation and 3D Programming Contest👏

由澳門理工大學主辦、國際博彩標準協會（iGSA）協辦、澳門特區政府教育及青年發展局和郵電局支持的“第十八屆全澳資訊科技大賽–人工智能創作與三維編程比賽”頒獎禮日前在澳門理工大學表演廳舉行，由澳理工應用科學學院代院長彭祥祐、廣東省工程師學會榮譽會士溫錦明、教育及青年發展局資訊及科技處處長杜家豪、郵電局資訊科技發展處處長李廣亮、澳門大學附屬應用學校副校長譚偉基、澳門培正中學副校長陳敬濂、同善堂中學副校長歐陽健友、澳門菜農子弟學校副校長江欽育等嘉賓主禮。

The award ceremony for “the 18th Macao-wide IT Competition – Artificial Intelligence Creation and 3D Programming Contest” is held at the performance hall of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU). The competition is organised by MPU, co-organised by the International Gaming Standards Association (iGSA), and supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau and the Post and Telecommunications Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.
The ceremony is officiated by a number of distinguished guests, including Pang Cheong Iao, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA) at MPU; Wan Kam Ming, Honorary Fellow of the Guangdong Institution of Engineers; Tou Ka Hou, Head of the Division of Information and Technology of the Education and Youth Development Bureau; Lei Kwong Leong, Head of the Information Technology Development Division of the Post and Telecommunications Bureau; Tam Wai Kei, Vice Principal of the Affiliated School of the University of Macau; Chan King Lim, Vice Principal of Macau Pui Ching Middle School; Ao Ieong Kin Iao, Vice Principal of Escola Tong Sin Tong; and Kong Iam Iok, Vice Principal of Escola da Associação para Filhos e Irmãos dos Agricultores (Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai).

MPU CEC Hosts “Exercise is Medicine” Health Seminar✨

為助力澳門大健康行業發展，推廣科學運動對疾病預防與康復的重要性，由澳門理工大學持續教育中心及中國-澳門體適能總會主辦、香港中文大學體育運動科學系及運動康健學苑協辦的“運動是良藥：癌症與認知障礙的預防與復康的運動處方”健康講座，日前於澳理工舉行，吸引醫療業界及市民參加，反應熱烈。

To support the development of Macao's big health industry and promote the importance of scientific exercise in disease prevention and rehabilitation, the “Exercise is Medicine: Exercise Prescriptions for the Prevention and Rehabilitation of Cancer and Cognitive Impairment” health seminar is held at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) recently. The event is organised by the Centre for Continuing Education (CEC) of Macao Polytechnic University and the Physical Fitness General Association Macao-China, with co-organization by the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Exercise for Health Academy. The seminar attracts strong participation from healthcare professionals and members of the public, receiving an enthusiastic response.

為推動人工智能與教育科研的跨學科融合，澳門理工大學應用科學學院教育技術與創新博士課程日前舉辦“人機智能協同共創”學術專題講座，邀請華中師範大學教授余新國主講，題為“HI-AI Cocreation for Research and Education”，吸引眾多師生出席，交流氣氛熱烈。

To promote the interdisciplinary integration of artificial intelligence with educational and scientific research, the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Technology and Innovation programme, offered by the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA) at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), recently holds an academic seminar on “Human Intelligent Machine Collaborative Co Creation.” The event features Professor Yu Xinguo from Central China Normal University as the keynote speaker, who delivers a talk entitled “HI AI Cocreation for Research and Education.” The seminar attracts a large number of faculty and students, who engage in lively discussions in a warm and interactive atmosphere.

為提升本澳學生輔導及社服人員專業實務能力，澳門理工大學持續教育中心為澳門街坊會聯合總會開辦 “資深學生輔導員進階培訓 2026”課程，二十四名學員於7月中旬順利完成課程，獲頒發課程證書。

To enhance the professional practical skills of student counselors and social service personnel in Macao, the Centre for Continuing Education (CEC) at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) offers the “Advanced Training for Senior Student Counselors 2026” course for the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macao. 24 participants successfully complete the course and are awarded course certificates.

MPU Robotics Research Team "Jiuxiao Team" Recommended by TDM to Compete in ABU Robocon🌟

澳門理工大學機械人研發團隊“九霄戰隊”（以下簡稱“戰隊”）獲澳廣視推薦，將代表中國澳門參加“亞太廣播聯盟機械人大賽2026”（ABU Robocon 2026）。戰隊是澳門地區首支獲推薦參加該項國際賽事的研發團隊。賽事將於8月在香港舉行，屆時來自亞太地區的頂尖大學生隊伍將同場競技，角逐殊榮，共同推動創新科技的交流與發展。

MPU's robotics research team, "Jiuxiao Team" (hereinafter referred to as "the Team"), has been recommended by TDM to represent Macao, China in the "ABU Robocon 2026". The Team is the first research team from Macao to receive such a recommendation for this international event. The competition will be held in Hong Kong in August, where top university teams from across the Asia Pacific region will compete for top honours and jointly promote the exchange and advancement of innovative technology.
