The first-ever FALAS (Federation of African Law Students) Mauritius National Mooting Finals were proudly held at the University of Lancashire Mauritius.
Congratulations to the winning team, who will now have the opportunity to represent Mauritius and compete at the international level. We wish them every success in the next stage of the competition.
A sincere thank you to the organisers, especially Fadel Dauhoo, Head of the Mooting Committee, and the various law societies from universities across Mauritius, whose dedication and collaboration made this landmark event possible.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished jury panel—barristers Teesha Varaden, Avinash Sookun, and Shameer Hosenbocus, together with Zohra Gunglee, FHEA, Law Lecturer at the University of Lancashire Mauritius—for generously sharing their time, expertise, and valuable insights throughout the competition.
Last but certainly not least, our sincere thanks to Mr John Corbett, Business Manager at the School of Law and Policing, University of Lancashire, Preston, for his unwavering support and encouragement, which contributed greatly to the success of this event.
