Assalamualaikum and greetings,

A visit was conducted to the off-campus accommodation of international students sponsored by Babaker to observe the living conditions and ensure the safety and welfare of the students.

A total of 82 students are residing at this location, and the visit involved collaboration from several parties including JP, COSHE, JKES and PPP.

International Residential College and Non-Resident (IRCNR), serve as a mediator to ensure good cooperation between UniMAP and the accommodation management.

It is hoped that this effort will help provide a safe and comfortable environment for all students.

4 MARCH 2026 | MEETING WITH UNIMAP CORPORATE COMMUNICATION

A meeting was successfully held with UniMAP Corporate Communication regarding the implementation of the UniMAP Spotlight and promotional video for the International Student Association.

The discussion focused on enhancing visibility, strengthening outreach, and showcasing the presence and contributions of international students within UniMAP through strategic media and promotional efforts.

In addition, a photo session was conducted at the UniMAP Corporate Communication studio as preparation for the upcoming promotional videos. The session concluded with a visit to the UniMAP Museum, where the team gained inspiration from the university’s history and achievements.

This initiative marks a positive step towards better engagement and representation of the international student community.

30 MARCH 2026 | TNC Visit to IRC

The TNC conducted a visit to review the proposed area for the Dapur Siswa (Student Kitchen). As part of this initiative, our college will be introducing a student pantry. The visit aimed to assess the space provided.

The Student Pantry is designed to provide students with a designated space to carry out simple cooking activities or reheat their food. In addition, basic necessities such as rice will be made available, allowing students to prepare simple meals when needed. This facility is especially intended to support students who may be facing financial difficulties.

Overall, this initiative reflects the commitment of both the ministry and the university to ensure that students have access to basic food support. It is a step towards creating a more caring and supportive campus environment, where students’ well-being and daily needs are taken into consideration.

3 MARCH 2026 | Iftar at UniMAP Lake 🌙

Alhamdiliallah, on 14 Ramadan 1447 AH, MPKK IRCOC, together with Ihsan Association, Yemeni Union, and the International Student Club Union (ISCU) successfully organised an Iftar at UniMAP Lake.

This collaboration showed great teamwork, as the members worked together side by side to prepare the food. The attendance of everyone showed their appreciation and created a lively, relaxed atmosphere.

We would like to express gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a success. May more Iftars be done in the future bringing everyone together.

2 MARCH 2026 | IEPC 2026

MPKK attended the International Engineering Postgraduate Colloquium (IEPC) 2026 held at the Vibe Room, Faculty of Intelligent Computing (FKC), UniMAP. The program, organized by the Center of Excellence for Advanced Computing (CoE AdvComp), aimed to strengthen academic collaboration under the theme “Bridging Local Expertise with International Perspectives.”

The colloquium featured keynote speakers Prof. Kentaro Go (University of Yamanashi, Japan) and Asst. Prof. Intan Dzikria (Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, Indonesia), providing valuable international research insights.

The event was also attended by distinguished university representatives and academic leaders, reflecting strong institutional support for postgraduate research and international engagement.

MPKK’s presence demonstrates continued support for academic excellence and knowledge-sharing initiatives within UniMAP.

🏠 PPP Hostel Visit 🏠

On 22/1/2026, the PPP housing centre visited the IRC hostel to check on the residents and their well-being. Additionally, a small honour ceremony was held to appreciate the most clean, organised, well-maintained house. This initiative will hopefully encourage more students to focus on keeping their environment clean.
