Cultivating Future Eco Leaders Through Composting and ESG Awareness
The Faculty of Applied Sciences, AIMST University, was delighted to conduct a Composting Workshop at SJK(T) Saraswathy on 19 August 2026, led by Dr. G. Mugilan.
The interactive session introduced students to the importance of composting, proper segregation of organic waste, and how food waste can be transformed into nutrient-rich compost for plants and gardens. Beyond practical skills, the workshop also highlighted how responsible waste management supports Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles by promoting environmental sustainability, community responsibility, and good stewardship of resources.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Jeyendaran (Headmaster), the school administration, teachers, and the STS Kelab Alam Sekitar for their support in making this programme a meaningful and engaging learning experience.
