The results of PUO’s role as the Marine TVET Collaboration Hub are evident in the success of our partner, Pelita Akademi, which has secured provisional approval from the Marine Department Malaysia to offer the Engine Resource Management (ERM) program. This program will be conducted collaboratively by PUO and Pelita Akademi at CTME-PUO. Congratulations to everyone involved. Alhamdulillah.

Acting as the Marine Engineering TVET Collaboration Hub, CTME-PUO received a visit today, 27 August 2026, from the Malaysia Marine Department for a facility audit regarding the Engine Room Resource Management (ERM) program, which is conducted in collaboration with Pelita Akademi Sdn. Bhd. Hopefully, it will run smoothly and successfully to pave the way for seafarers. Ameenn.

He has just completed the CCSU Series 03/2026 program at CTME-PUO and successfully passed the oral examination for the 2nd Class Engineer 3,000 kW or More Unlimited Trade Voyages Certificate of Competency on August 8, 2026. He has now returned to work in Cannes, France, serving as a Second Engineer aboard the HLV Seaway Strashnov (a state-of-the-art heavy-lift crane and offshore construction vessel) owned by Seaway7. Kudos and congratulations to John Anak Padang.

Once again, Alhamdulillah, the Briefing Session for BETO Series 05/2026 participants has concluded. It was conducted by the Assistant Manager of CTME, Mr. Mohd Shahrir bin Ali. Representatives from Affin Bank also participated to assist participants with matters regarding financial facilities. May Allah facilitate the proceedings for BETO Series 05/2026 and ensure its smooth, successful ex*****on. Ameen.

This event is organized by the Department of Marine Engineering, PUO, in collaboration with the Malaysia Marine Engineering & Technology TVET Collaboration Hub (MaRETeCH).
