Six FTKEK students represented UTeM at the Netherlands–Southeast Asia Semiconductor Talent Programme, a two-week initiative that brought together 60 top university students from across Southeast Asia with Dutch and regional industry experts. The programme paired academic learning with hands-on exposure to high-tech industry practice: participants attended expert lectures on chip technology, cleanroom procedures, and advanced packaging, then put that learning into context through site visits to leading companies such as ASML, Besi, and Nexperia. The six FTKEK students are: -

Five UTeM athletes represented the university at the 1st World Adimurai Championship 2026 in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, India, bringing home an outstanding 27 medals: 17 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze. Among them, FTKEK student Umaadevi delivered a standout performance, claiming 4 gold and 1 silver medal. Her fellow athletes also shone brightly: Kameswaran earned 4 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze; Neesha secured 3 gold and 2 bronze; Kisshenthran took 3 gold and 3 silver; and Ravindra Kumar collected 3 gold and 2 silver.
This result reflects the dedication and hard work these athletes brought to representing UTeM at the international level, with Umaadevi's achievement a particular source of pride for FTKEK. Through sports, culture, and traditional martial arts, the team helped bring honour and recognition to the university on the world stage.

[Program Minggu Penulisan Jurnal FTKEK 2026]

Fakulti Teknologi dan Kejuruteraan Elektronik dan Komputer (FTKEK) telah menganjurkan Minggu Penulisan Jurnal FTKEK 2026 sepanjang bulan Ogos 2026 sebagai salah satu inisiatif strategik bagi memperkukuh budaya penerbitan akademik dalam kalangan staf. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan sasaran utama sebagai platform sokongan dan pemerkasaan penerbitan FTKEK, sejajar dengan usaha meningkatkan jumlah serta kualiti penerbitan jurnal berindeks WoS dan Scopus di fakulti.

Pelbagai aktiviti berbentuk webinar, kursus intensif dan bengkel amali telah disusun bagi memberikan pendedahan menyeluruh kepada peserta. Program dimulakan dengan Bengkel Write2Publish (W2P) pada 5 Ogos 2026 yang memberi fokus kepada penukaran laporan Projek Sarjana Muda (PSM/FYP) kepada artikel jurnal yang boleh diterbitkan. Seterusnya, peserta didedahkan kepada penggunaan kecerdasan buatan dalam penyelidikan melalui webinar “Claude Cowork as Research Assistant” pada 7 Ogos 2026.

Bagi memperkukuh motivasi dan budaya penerbitan, webinar “Cultivate the Publication Culture in Academia Life” telah diadakan pada 11 Ogos 2026, diikuti dengan perkongsian pengalaman menerusi webinar “Pengalaman dan Strategi Menerbitkan Artikel WoS/Scopus Secara Konsisten” pada 13 Ogos 2026. Program diteruskan dengan Kursus Effective Academic Writing & Publication pada 19 Ogos 2026 yang menawarkan latihan intensif berkaitan teknik penulisan akademik dan penyediaan manuskrip berkualiti. Minggu penulisan ini diakhiri dengan webinar “Rahsia Pensyarah Wanita Menulis Jurnal” pada 21 Ogos 2026 yang mengetengahkan pengalaman serta inspirasi dalam mengekalkan momentum penerbitan akademik.

Keseluruhannya, program-program yang dianjurkan ini diharapkan dapat membantu staf untuk memperkukuh strategi penulisan, meningkatkan kemahiran penyediaan manuskrip, mengukuhkan budaya penerbitan dalam kalangan warga FTKEK serta mempercepatkan proses penyediaan dan penghantaran manuskrip ke jurnal berimpak tinggi. Inisiatif sebegini juga menyokong aspirasi fakulti dan universiti dalam memperkasakan kecemerlangan penyelidikan serta meningkatkan keterlihatan hasil penyelidikan di peringkat antarabangsa.
