CYBEROPS to CyberDSA 2026!

Beyond the classroom, into the world of cybersecurity!
CYBEROPS UTeM had the opportunity to attend CyberDSA 2026, an exciting experience that brought our members closer to the cybersecurity industry.
Throughout the visit, our members gained valuable exposure to emerging cybersecurity technologies, industry trends, and innovative security solutions. It was also a great opportunity to connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas, and gain a better understanding of the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our club advisor, Dr. Mohd Zaki Mas'ud. for his continuous support and encouragement, and to Sir Syahir Haziq M. 🌏 International Guest Lecture & Academic Engagement at FAIX, UTeM

The Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (FAIX), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), was pleased to host an International Guest Lecture featuring Prof. Sameer Shende, University of Oregon, USA, on:

🎓 “TAU and E4S: An HPC-AI Software Ecosystem for Science”

The engaging lecture and hands-on session provided valuable insights into High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence, scientific computing, and advanced software ecosystems for research.

The visit also created valuable opportunities for institutional engagement, including:

🔹 Meeting with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, UTeM to explore international academic collaboration and future initiatives.
🔹 Postgraduate Programme Review and discussions on strengthening postgraduate education, curriculum and research.
🔹 Exploring potential joint grant proposals and international funding opportunities.
🔹 Identifying future research collaborations in HPC, AI, scientific computing and sustainable technologies.

Program ini memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang menghubungkan pengetahuan, kesedaran dan aplikasi sebenar keselamatan siber, selaras dengan pendekatan experiential learning yang diterapkan di FAIX.

Alhamdulillah, the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (AICyS 2026), organised by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (FAIX), UTeM, was successfully concluded.

As the first international conference organised by FAIX, AICyS 2026 marked a significant milestone for the faculty. The conference brought together academics, researchers and industry professionals to exchange knowledge, present research findings and explore the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security.
