Adding practical knowledge to the syllabus! 📚✨

On 3 February 2026, Faculty of Engineering, SEGi University students were given the opportunity to tour around the Jeram Sanitary Landfill (TPSJ), Worldwide Entech. It was a morning filled with onsite learning and exploration as we dove into the science behind waste management.

What we learned:
💧 Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP): Seeing leachate treatment tech in action.
⚡ Landfill Gas Management (LFG): Learning how waste turns into energy.

All participants left with a new perspective on environmental sustainability! 🌍

🌿💧 Sustain Our River Programme – National Environment Day 2025 (Selangor) 💧🌿

SEGi University was honoured to participate in the “Program Lestarikan Sungai Kita” held at Taman Eko Rimba Sungai Tekala, Semenyih, organised by the Selangor. 🌳

The event, officiated by YBrs. Puan Fenny Wong Nyuk Yin, Deputy Director (Development) DOE Selangor, was conducted in collaboration with Environmental Strategic Partners (RSAS) and Environmental Friends (RAS).

Our students and lecturers proudly joined 67 participants from Jabatan Alam Sekitar Malaysia (JAS) DOE Selangor, the Jabatan Perhutanan Semenanjung Malaysia, and , engaging in meaningful environmental activities such as the “Clean-Up While Leisure” (KUDAH) and an insightful briefing by Mr. Mohd Hadre bin Mohamad, Forest Conservator from the Central Selangor Forestry Office. 🌎

Such initiatives strengthen our commitment to sustainability and collective environmental responsibility that nurturing a generation that values and protects our planet for the future. 🌱
