Alhamdulillah, selesai dengan jayanya Hari Pertama Pitching Arena: Innovate & Connect sempena URIIS 2026.

21 September 2026, Kuala Lumpur - Sesi hari ini menghimpunkan beberapa rakan venture capital dan industri iaitu Aleonz Consultancy, WhizzbangIdea dan Bintang Capital, dengan penyertaan seramai 33 penyelidik daripada beberapa universiti.

Sepanjang sesi pitching, para peserta berpeluang membentangkan idea, produk dan inovasi masing-masing serta menerima maklum balas secara langsung daripada pihak venture capital.

Antara outcome utama yang diperoleh termasuk pandangan berkaitan pembangunan perniagaan, penentuan hala tuju produk, penambahbaikan idea dan produk, pengukuhan value proposition serta strategi pitching yang lebih berkesan untuk masa hadapan.

DAY 1 URIIS 2026: “Publish or Profit?” Explores the Balance Between Research and Commercialization

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 September 2026 – The session “Publish or Profit? Navigating the Tightrope Between Research and Commercialization”, organised by the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), received an encouraging response on the first day of the URIIS - University Research and Innovation Investment Summit 2026.

Held from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon at the Johor-Kedah Room, Level 2, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL), the session brought together approximately 70 participants, including panelists, and recorded a full-house attendance.

The session provided an engaging platform to explore the challenges and opportunities in balancing academic research publication with the commercialisation of research outcomes. Discussions also highlighted the importance of translating research and intellectual property into innovations with greater industry and market impact.

The strong participation reflects the growing interest in strengthening the link between research excellence, intellectual property, innovation and commercialisation, in line with URIIS 2026’s aspiration to connect research and technology with industry and investment opportunities.

The session marked another engaging highlight of Day 1 URIIS 2026, bringing researchers, industry representatives and innovation stakeholders together to explore pathways from research to real-world impact.
