Sunshine Private College Learner Selected for International Scout Exchange Programme in Germany
Sunshine Private College is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Grade 9C learner, Roselyn Mbathera, who has been selected to participate in an international Scout exchange programme in Aurich, Germany, from 29 July to 17 August 2026.
Roselyn was selected by the 2nd Windhoek Scout Group, which is organising the exchange in partnership with its German counterpart. The programme will include participation in a national Scout jamboree expected to bring together approximately 6,000 Scouts from different parts of the world.
During the exchange, Roselyn will have the opportunity to interact with Scouts from more than 20 countries, participate in cultural exchanges, visit museums, and engage in various team-building and leadership activities. The programme aims to promote international friendship while developing young people's life, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Roselyn's selection is a testament to her dedication and potential as a young leader. The 2nd Windhoek Scout Group describes her as an “incredible young leader” who has demonstrated the qualities required for this prestigious opportunity. Through her participation, she will also attain her national colours within the Scout organisation.
Approximately 80% of the exchange costs have been funded by the German partner organisation, making this a valuable and rare opportunity for Roselyn.
