Meet Dr Albert Kamuinjo, Senior Lecturer and Academic Leader at the Namibia Business School

Dr. Kamuinjo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Management. His doctoral research, Investigating Liquidity Risk Management in the Namibian Banking System, examined liquidity risk management practices within the framework of the Basel III Accord. Prior to his PhD, he obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Services, Risk and Operations, specialising in Banking and Finance.

With more than 14 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Kamuinjo has built a distinguished career in university teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and academic leadership. He has successfully supervised more than 100 postgraduate research projects and MBA dissertations and has co-supervised doctoral (PhD) candidates, contributing significantly to the development of future scholars and business professionals.

His research interests include banking and finance, financial risk management, enterprise risk management, investment banking, and the application of generative artificial intelligence in business. Beyond his academic responsibilities, Dr. Kamuinjo actively contributes to policy dialogue and local economic development initiatives in Namibia.

Dr. Kamuinjo currently serves as the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and lectures in the Finance and Strategic Management specialisations of the MBA programme.
