Historic contact visit: UNIPEN strengthens ties with the International Understanding University
As part of strengthening linkages between private higher education institutions, a high level delegation from the Union of Private Institutes of Education in Niger (UNIPEN) paid a courtesy visit to the International Understanding University, this morning 7th May 2026. Led by Elhaj Yahaya Amadou, Director General of INIME and President of UNIPEN, the delegation comprised Mr. Abdou Souley, Siradji and other Union members. They were warmly received by the Administration of the University, represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Danmarawi Abacar.
After a presentation session and fruitful exchanges, the delegation visited the institution's infrastructures (offices, classrooms, library and billboards). The President of UNIPEN hailed the remarkable progress made by the International Understanding University in the field of higher education. Strong from his experience as the founding director of one of the most prestigious institutes in Niamey, M. Elhaj Yahaya Amadou has provided sage advice, encouraging the administration to continue striving for academic excellence.
