*Special Tribute to Prof. (Dr.) Irene Udofa-Essien*
My beloved colleagues, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, permit me to pause at this moment to offer a personal tribute to the woman whose name is written in golden letters today— Prof. (Dr.) Irene Udofa-Essien.
Dr. Irene is not just receiving a Professorial Conferment; she is receiving the validation of years of sacrifice, perseverance, and unshakable vision. She is not just being honored with titles; she is being honored for touching lives, building leaders, and serving humanity with passion and distinction.
Her story is not one of privilege, but of perseverance. She has walked the rugged road of academic pursuit, she has labored in silence where no applause was heard, and she has built others even when she herself was still under construction. Today, heaven and earth bear witness that her labor has not been in vain.
Dr. Irene stands as an example to women everywhere that the glass ceilings of society can be shattered through diligence and faith. She reminds our younger generation that education is not a burden but a bridge to greatness. She embodies the truth that when vision meets consistency, destiny is fulfilled.
