Good morning Beloved Brethren,

Topic: LEARN TO OBSERVE QUIET TIMES
Text: Read: Luke 6:12
Daily Bible Study: 1 Chronicles 26-27; Job 1
"And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed" (Luke 5:16).
When people intend to go into deep study and research, they seclude themselves to have privacy, concentration and be able to focus. So also when people intend to communicate with God, they seclude themselves into a quiet place to pray and meditate. Just as devoted researchers study often, so also devoted children of God create the time to pray and meditate frequently with God their Maker.
There is the need to create an atmosphere that is conducive to hearing from God. Devoted servants of God have learnt over the years that certain disciplines and practices help them keep the spiritual channels open and keep the heart tuned towards God. To enjoy God’s continual presence, we must maintain an atmosphere conducive for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Quiet time is a time when we are at best to hear from God and also speak to God. It is the foundation for “praying without ceasing”. We should not always come up with the excuse that we don’t have time, we have to create it! Time is always created for things of interest, so if we are not observing quiet times with God, then time is not our problem, but interest! Whether we like it or not, we must realize that as true children of God, we are always engaged in a spiritual battle and can only succeed by the power of the Holy Spirit; so do all you can to spend some time daily with God in prayers and meditation, it will strengthen your communication with Him and enable you hear when He speaks to you.
Prayer: Dear LORD, please help us to enjoy the fullness of Your presence each day as we consistently seek You in our quiet time faithfully and obediently, we pray in Christ’s name, Amen.
