Pharmacy Council of Nigeria Conducts Accreditation Visit to College of Health Science and Technology, Alkaleri (COHSTA)
Today, the PCN paid an accreditation and facility assessment visit to the College of Health Science and Technology, Alkaleri, as part of its statutory mandate to ensure quality training and professional standards in pharmaceutical education across Nigeria.
The distinguished delegation undertook a comprehensive inspection of the institution’s facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other critical infrastructure, to evaluate their compliance with the Council’s accreditation requirements. The visit also provided an opportunity for interactive engagement with the management, academic staff, and students of the College.
Speaking during the visit, representatives of the Council emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in the training of pharmacy technicians and other allied health professionals, noting that quality education remains central to strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system and, commend the Management of COHSTA for maintaining a standard learning environment for the students.
The Management of the College expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit, reaffirming its commitment to continuous improvement, academic excellence, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The institution highlighted ongoing efforts to upgrade its facilities and enhance capacity building for both staff and students.
This accreditation exercise marks a significant milestone in the College’s pursuit of excellence and its vision to produce competent and highly skilled healthcare professionals capable of meeting both national and global health challenges.
