To: All Staff, Students, Alumni, Stakeholders, Partners, and the General Public
The Management of Ecclesian Theological University (ETU) hereby formally informs all concerned parties of an important institutional development regarding the restructuring, rebranding, and advancement of the institution in line with prevailing governmental directives, educational policies, and regulatory requirements.
After careful consideration and strategic institutional planning aimed at sustainable growth, global relevance, academic credibility, and institutional development, the institution hereby announces its transition to a new name as follows:
ECCLESIAN INSTITUTE OF THEOLOGY, LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
This transition represents a progressive step toward strengthening the institution’s academic foundation, professional structure, administrative system, and institutional recognition.
The Management is also pleased to announce that ECCLESIAN INSTITUTE OF THEOLOGY, LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES is accredited by the Nigeria Council for Theological Studies and Christian Education.

Consequently, the following shall apply with immediate effect:
1. Change of Institutional Name
All official operations, communications, academic activities, and institutional representations shall henceforth be conducted under the name:
Ecclesian Institute of Theology, Leadership and Professional Studies
2. Award of Certificates and Academic Documents
All certificates, statements of results, transcripts, diplomas, and other academic documents shall henceforth be issued under the new institutional name.
3. Honorary Awards and Official Appointments
All honorary recognitions, appointments, and institutional commendations shall be conferred in the name of Ecclesian Institute of Theology, Leadership and Professional Studies.
4. Alumni Recognition and Status
All former students, graduates, and alumni of Ecclesian Theological University (ETU) shall retain full recognition, rights, and privileges as alumni of Ecclesian Institute of Theology, Leadership and Professional Studies.
5. Re-Issuance and Renewal of Certificates/Awards
In order to ensure uniformity, authenticity, institutional standardization, and enhanced professional recognition, all previous graduates, students, and award recipients may be requested, where necessary, to submit their previously issued certificates or awards for re-issuance under the new institutional name.
The Management sincerely appreciates the support, loyalty, patience, and understanding of all stakeholders throughout this transition process. We remain fully committed to academic excellence, leadership development, theological scholarship, professional training, character formation, and institutional integrity.
This restructuring is not a setback but a strategic advancement designed to position the institution for greater opportunities, enhanced credibility, wider acceptance, improved professional relevance, and long-term national and international recognition.
We therefore encourage all members of the institution and the general public to continue supporting the vision and mission of the institution as we move confidently into this new phase of growth and development.
