DAY 4 — CLOSING CEREMONY 🎓

And just like that, the curtains came down on the Postgraduate Biennial Conference! 🎉

Day 4 kicked off with the final breakout sessions, wrapping up days of insightful paper presentations and research discussions.

A major highlight of the day was the plenary session on funding and grant acquisition — equipping startups and researchers with practical strategies on how to approach and secure funding for their innovative ideas.

TThe conference rounded off with a Closing Ceremony, capped with closing remarks from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, marking the end of an impactful gathering centered on "AI and Sustainable Development: Collaborative Solutions for Global Challenges."

DAY 3 — EXPLORING THE FUTURE TOGETHER 🌍

Day 3 of the Postgraduate Biennial Conference, themed "AI and Sustainable Development: Collaborative Solutions for Global Challenges," kept the momentum going! 🔥

The day featured a continuation of breakout sessions, with participants — both online and onsite — presenting their conference papers and sharing valuable insights from their research. 📑💡

Of course, no conference day is complete without a well-deserved tea break ☕ and lunch break 🍽️ to recharge before diving back into the sessions.

DAY 2 — OPENING CEREMONY

Day 2 of the ongoing Postgraduate Biennial Conference was a truly eventful one! The day began with opening prayers from the School Chaplain, Dr. Alakija, followed by a warm Welcome Address from the Provost, College of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Adeleke Osho.

The ceremony was graced by members of the Management Team, led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, who delivered the opening remarks. The Keynote Address was delivered on behalf of Prof. Kayode Oyebode Adebowale, FAS, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, who was ably represented.

The opening ceremony set the stage for the rich lineup of research presentations to come in the following sessions. 🎓📚

Yesterday, Tuesday 8th September 2026, was Arrival & Check-in Day for participants travelling down to Redeemer’s University to secure accommodations.

Conference sessions officially begin today, Wednesday 9th September 2026.

For the next three days, Redeemer’s University becomes a hub of ideas, research, innovation, and collaboration as brilliant minds come together around one urgent question:

How can AI help us build a more sustainable future?

TETFund walked through our doors— and it wasn't just a courtesy visit.

The College of Postgraduate Studies hosted representatives from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund for a working session on our continued partnership, with a specific focus on the postgraduate students currently sponsored under the Tertiary Education Trust Fund Tetfund scheme.

We reviewed progress, discussed timelines, and reaffirmed a shared commitment: every scholar on this sponsorship deserves a research journey that's properly resourced and closely supported — not just funded on paper.

This partnership has already opened doors for scholars who might otherwise have stalled at the threshold of postgraduate research. The engagement was about making sure those doors stay open, and that the students walking through them get what they need to finish strong.
