Federal College of Education Technical Ekiadolor Holds Training on EDON 3D Sim Pro Electronic Interactive Board.

Ekiadolor, November 11, 2025 – The Federal College of Education Technical Ekiadolor successfully concluded a one-day training session on the EDON 3D Sim Pro Electronic Interactive Board on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Micro Teaching Laboratory.

The training session, which commenced at 10:00 AM, was facilitated by Mr. Abiola, a representative from EDON, who guided participants through the practical application of the EDON 3D Pro app for effective lecture delivery. The comprehensive session brought together key academic and technical staff members including all Acting Deans of Schools, all Acting Heads of Departments, the Acting Director of Academic Planning, ICT staff, and Technologists/Coordinators of Educational Technology.

Mr. Abiola provided hands-on instruction on how to utilize the EDON 3D Pro application for delivering lectures using the electronic interactive board. The training focused extensively on helping staff and students adapt to using the app for both online and offline lecture delivery modes, ensuring flexibility and continuity in teaching regardless of internet connectivity.

Participants learned how to navigate the features of the EDON 3D Pro app, integrate multimedia content into their lectures, and maximize the interactive capabilities of the electronic board to enhance student engagement. The training equipped staff with practical skills to transform traditional teaching methods and embrace technology-driven instructional approaches.

The successful completion of this training marks a significant milestone in the institution's ongoing efforts to modernize its teaching infrastructure and equip faculty members with 21st-century educational tools. The knowledge and skills acquired during this session are expected to enhance the quality of lecture delivery across all schools and departments within the college, ultimately benefiting the entire student population.

FCE (Technical), Ekiadolor Achieves Milestone as NCCE Concludes Accreditation Visit Ekiadolor-Benin, Edo State | October 10, 2025.

Federal College of Education (Technical), Ekiadolor, Edo State, has reached a major milestone as the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) successfully concluded its first institutional and programme accreditation of the college, held from October 7 to 10, 2025.

The exercise, led by,Dr. Salisu Bashir Gwangwazo representing the NCCE Executive Secretary, Prof. Paulinus Okwelle, brought together expert panellists from across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. The team was warmly received by the Provost, Dr. Emmanuel N. Asagha, along with the management, staff, and students of the institution.

In his remarks, Dr Asagha expressed gratitude to God and the NCCE for their support and commitment to quality education, noting that the exercise marks a defining moment in the growth and consolidation of the college. He reaffirmed management’s dedication to upholding the highest standards in academic excellence and professional training.

During the exit briefing, Dr. Hamza commended the college’s impressive facilities, organization, and cooperation throughout the exercise. He described the visit as one of the most orderly and productive he has experienced, acknowledging the Provost and his team for their vision and preparedness.

The NCCE team highlighted the college’s conducive learning environment, well-equipped laboratories, functional library, and strong commitment to staff development. It also encouraged the institution to sustain its momentum and participate in upcoming Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives for enhanced skill development and innovation.

FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TECHNICAL, EKIADOLOR WRAPS UP STUDENTS' WEEK CELEBRATION.

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Federal College of Education Technical, Ekiadolor, recently concluded a week-long celebration that showcased the students' creativity, talent, and unity. The event, which took place from 15th to 19th September, 2025, was organised under the guidance of the Students Affairs Department, led by Dr Jimoh Kadiri, Dean of Students Affairs.

The celebration kicked off with an awareness and sensitisation program, where students shared important messages and raised awareness on various issues. The second day was themed "Old School Day/Custom Day," where students dressed in their favourite retro outfits, bringing a blast from the past to the campus.

The cultural segment was a highlight of the week, featuring vibrant displays and captivating dance performances by students from the Benin, Igbo, and Yoruba tribes. The event was attended by guests, college staff, and well-wishers, who were impressed by the students' talent and unity.

The award presentation ceremony was a special moment, with the Provost, Dr Emmanuel Asagha, represented by the College Librarian, Dr Tony Obaseki, who received the award on his behalf. Community leaders from Ekiadolor also received awards for their contributions.

The symposium on the fourth day provided a platform for students to engage in thought-provoking discussions and share knowledge on important topics.

The week concluded with a thrilling sports day, featuring a mini tournament among the different schools, including the School of General Education, School of Vocational Education, School of Secondary Technical Education, and School of Secondary Science Education.

The SUG and the Students' Affairs Department deserve commendation for organising such a successful event, which promoted unity, creativity, and talent among the students. The event was a resounding success, and we look forward to more exciting activities in the future.

FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TECHNICAL EKIADOLOR, BENIN, SHINES AT NATIONAL SEWING CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

The Federal College of Education Technical, Ekiadolor, Benin, Edo State, has made a remarkable impression at the National Sewing Championship 2025 (NSC25) 3rd Edition, held at Government Science Secondary School, Maitama, Abuja, from August 17th to 30th, 2025. The competition, themed "Vocational Skills Competition, Entrepreneurial Promotion, and Talent Hunt," brought together talented students from various institutions across the country.

Under the NCCE Youth Category in Sewing, the college's students demonstrated exceptional skills and creativity, securing notable positions. Ihekwueme Victory Chinedu emerged 3rd place overall and 3rd place in the NCCE category, while Aituayuwa Faith Eseosa took 2nd place in the NCCE category. Egharevba Judith Osaguwmenro also showcased her talent, contributing to the college's impressive performance.

Upon their return, the college Provost, Dr. Emmanuel Asagha, met with the contestants, Principal Officers, and the Dean of Student Affairs to congratulate them on their outstanding achievement. The Provost commended their exploits, praising their dedication and hard work. This gesture highlights the college's commitment to fostering vocational skills and entrepreneurial spirit among its students.

Federal College of Education (Technical), Ekiadolor Host 3rd Matriculation Ceremony in a Grand, Inspiring Affair.

Federal College of Education (Technical), Ekiadolor-Benin, on Friday May 23, 2025 held its third matriculation ceremony in a vibrant and inspiring event that marked the formal induction of newly admitted students into the academic community of the institution.

The ceremony, held at the College’s ultra-modern 500-seater lecture theatre, drew a distinguished gathering that included the Chairman of the College’s 2nd Governing Council, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Tukur Jikamshi, alongside members of the Governing Council, Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units, parents, guardians, invited guests, and the matriculating students themselves.

Notably, traditional leaders from the institution’s host communities—Ekiadolor, Iguedaiken, Ighuikhimwin, and Iguodia—were also in attendance, underscoring the College’s strong ties with its surrounding communities. Security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force (Ekiadolor Division) and the Department of State Services (DSS), Ovia North-East, were present to provide support and ensure a smooth event.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the administration of the matriculation oath by the College Registrar, Mr. Itedjere O. Henry. The event also featured a student exhibition showcasing innovative projects from the School of Secondary Education (Technical) and the School of Vocational Education—demonstrating the institution’s growing reputation for hands-on, skills-based learning. This aligns with the Federal Government’s renewed focus on technical and vocational education under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Delivering the keynote address, Governing Council Chairman Alhaji Jikamshi charged the new students to be disciplined and focused. “You are now ambassadors of this institution. I urge you to embody integrity, excellence, and respect for the College’s regulations,” he advised.

The Provost, Dr. Emmanuel N. Asagha, also addressed the students, warning them against engaging in social vices and examination malpractice. “This is the beginning of your journey to greatness. Your future is shaped by the decisions you make today,” he said.

Other members of the Governing Council took turns to offer words of encouragement, calling on students to take full advantage of the College’s academic and vocational training to build successful careers.

The event was widely commended by attendees for its organization and impact, further reinforcing the College’s vision of producing technically skilled, morally upright, and self-reliant graduates committed to national development.

The event concluded on a celebratory note,with students, staff and guest commending the college leadership for the smooth and impactful Organisation of the ceremony.
