SUBJECT: BATCH A2023 NYSC MOBILIZATION

The National Youth Service Corps is in the process of mobilizing Prospective Corps Members for its 2023 Batch “A" exercise. The University of Nigeria will soon upload its outstanding graduands to the NYSC portal.

All candidates who have issues with their Jamb Registration numbers and were unable to register during previous batches are required to forward their details attaching their Statement of Result and Jamb Admission Letter to the email address stated below. Those that have done this before should cross-check the list attached to this memorandum for errors in Names, Date of Graduation and other Particulars.

This is to inform the general public and our students in particular that no STAFF or STUDENT(s) can secure hostel allocation from the student portal through any backdoor manipulation(s).

In your own interest, avoid or report to the Dean Student Affairs or to the University Management any proxy agent(s) who want to defraud our students under the pretence of assisting them to get allocation outside the already laid down transparent process.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES RECOMMENDED FOR PROVISIONAL ADMISSION FOR THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION

Candidates listed above are required to adopt the following:

• All candidates are STRICTLY advised to URGENTLY upload their O/Level results into JAMB Portal using a JAMB approved CBT Center, if they have not done so, and confirm that the upload has been effected in CAPS. Note that candidates’ admission cannot be processed until proper upload of O/Level results are done.

• All candidates who were provisionally recommended for admission in courses other than the ones they applied to JAMB (Advert/Shopping or Supplementary) should, as a matter of urgency, access JAMB CAPS in an accredited CBT Center and do change of course from their original courses of application to JAMB to the courses recommended, print and drop their admission status from CAPS to the Admissions Office to enable them to be recommended in CAPS which is the only authentic way of gaining admission.

• Visit the Transfer page of JAMB Portal (CAPS) and accept the course(s) they were reassigned if they so wish.

• After complying with 1 to 3 above the candidates should subsequently do the followings:

• Visit the JAMB Portal and accept your admission on CAPS by clicking “Accept Admission”. Candidates who fail to accept their admission on JAMB CAPS would not be issued JAMB Admission Letter and would be deemed as not admitted.

• Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng), log in your JAMB Registration number to generate and download a Payment Invoice which contains a Remitta number, the invoice will enable you to make payment at any Commercial Bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank.

• With the Payment Invoice, candidates are requested to pay Thirty Thousand Naira Only (N30, 000.00) acceptance fee. Ensure that the Invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice number.

• Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) again and login your JAMB Registration Number, the Confirmation Number and Invoice Number, then print the Admission slip and complete the Acceptance Form online.

• Proceed with other fee payments and registration as indicated on the University of Nigeria website.

• Candidates should note that this admission is provisional.

• If at any time in future, including final year, it is discovered that any candidate does not possess the minimum university and the faculty/departmental entry requirements for the course as prescribed by the Senate of the University, and published in JAMB Brochure, the offer of admission will be withdrawn.

EXTENSION OF SALE OF 2021/2022 POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM

This is to inform all prospective postgraduate students that the sales of 2021/2022 admission form has been extended till 4th January, 2023. This is to enable students who have interest in the University of Nigeria Postgraduate programmes purchase the form.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application Forms can be obtained ONLINE on payment of a non-refundable fee of N26,700.00 (Twenty six, seven hundred naira only) made payable to “The University of Nigeria Postgraduate Application Fees Account, at any bank within the country using the Remita platform. Below is the process flow for the application:

- Visit https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/Modules_Post_Graduate/Application/GenerateInvoice.aspx to "Generate PG Application Invoice"
- Enter your telephone number
- Fill in your basic details
- Generate invoice with RRR
- Make payments using the online channel or at the bank.
- After payment, visit unnportal.unn.edu.ng
- Select Postgraduate
- Fill the PG online Application Form
- Upload all necessary credentials (in PDF format)
- Complete referee form. (Enter correct Emails)
- Check the complete details
- Submit form.

NOTICE!!!!! for 2022/2023 SCREENING EXERCISE FOR ADMISSION

UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA

The University of Nigeria hereby invites candidates who made UNN their first-choice institution in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 160 and above for screening exercise.



Online Registration

Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of N2,000.00 (Two thousand Naira only) through Remita Platform at any Commercial bank of their choice.


The online registration commences on Friday, November 4, 2022 and ends on midnight of Wednesday, November 30, 2022.


PROCESS FLOW FOR POST-UTME REGISTRATION:

- Log on to the University Registration Portal: https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/ApplicationFormPage.aspx
- Select Online Application Form for 2022/2023 Admission Screening Exercise
- Enter JAMB Registration Number
- Generate Invoice
- Proceed to bank for Payment or pay using your ATM Card
- Return to Portal
- Re-enter JAMB Registration Number
- Complete Date of Birth and all other blank fields
- Enter verified O/Level Subjects and Grades (also provide your Centre and Examination Number.
Note: Awaiting Results candidates should list their SSCE subjects)
- Re-enter your grades correctly

- Upload the following Certificates (Ensure that their sizes are not above 100KB)
1) Birth Certificate
2) Local Government Identification
3) Testimonial
4) First School Leaving Certificate
5) JAMB Result Slip
6) O/Level 1
7) O/Level 2 (For double sitting candidates)


- Click the "NEXT" button
- Review Summary Page and check that all details entered are correct
- Check the CONFIRMATION BOX below
- Click "SUBMIT"
- Print Acknowledgement Slip.


DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES FOR 2022/2023 WHO MADE UNN THEIR FIRST CHOICE INSTITUTION SHOULD ALSO REGISTER FOR THE SCREENING.


SCREENING EXERCISE:
The screening exercise for the 2022/2023 academic session shall be by the assessment of verified JAMB UTME, O/Level and Direct Entry results in place of P-UTME CBT examination. Any candidate who fails to upload the verified O/Level results at CAPS at record time shall not be considered for admission.
