A productive day at IITA

The Provost, Dr. Ibraheem O. Lawal, alongside some of his management team, paid an official courtesy visit to IITA on Wednesday, 12th November.

The team toured the Forest Center, Agripreneur Centre, Cassava Unit, and the Ethnobotanical Garden.

The visit is aimed at deepening and strengthening Institutional partnerships and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

The Provost, Dr. Ibraheem Lawal, honoured an invitation as Keynote Speaker during the "Tree Club" Week organized by the Departments of Forest Production and Products and Social and Environmental Forestry, University of Ibadan, held on 10th November 2025.

He delivered an insightful presentation on the theme “Futura Silva”, sharing thought-provoking perspectives on sustainable forestry and environmental stewardship.

A truly inspiring session that reinforced his commitment to promoting sustainability and green innovation.

It was a pleasure for the Provost, Dr. Ibraheem O. Lawal, hosting Mr. J. Nwachi, Chairman of the Association of Agricultural Technologists of Nigeria (AATON) Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan Branch, who presented a Special Recognition Award to him.
The award was originally conferred at the 2025 Annual AATON Conference held in Edo State on October 29, 2025.
The Provost expressed his gratitude to the association for this recognition and pledged his continued support for its professional efforts.
